Not sure what med to choose, after lipoatrophy
I was on Copaxone for 1 year until I just noticed the dents (lipoatrophy) and took myself off of it. My MS is pretty mild and after reading ALL of the possible side effects of the other drugs I'm just not sure any of them are worth it. I know everyone (drug companies) preach the drugs slow the progression but do they really? I'm very angry right now about the dents and I'm just questioning everything. I meet with my doctor in 3 weeks to discuss me stopping the Copaxone and I'm sure she's going to want me to start something else immediately. I'm just not sure I want to. Thanks for letting me vent.

Nobody knows for sure whether they work or not (at lowering relapse rates). DMDs do not necessarily alter progression.
I am on Copaxone (2 1/2 years), no issues and frankly don't know if I would go on any of the other DMDs available if I had to go off Copaxone. Some of them are quite scary indeed. You have a tough decision ahead of you. Good luck with your choice. Feel well!
