After reading ideas suggesting childhood trauma contributes to the development of MS, I'm curious to see how many of us qualify.
My mother died from cancer when I was 11. Anyone else fit in this unfortunate criteria?
Childhood Trauma
Re: Childhood Trauma
Hi,
On it's own it's not enough but I do think there's a possible role. My Father died a week before my 8th birthday and that caused all sorts of stresses for years.

Re: Childhood Trauma
Hi,
Good point !
I think this is a major cause. My father died one month before my birth. This has not impacted me directly but at this time, I was a part of my mother and was swimming in stress hormones. Then she has anxiously raised me alone. I’ve always been an anxious adult, with very low self confidence. During years, I though that stress was causing me weird symptoms that was disappearing after the stress period. I was very surprised when a doctor told me that this was called MS.

Re: Childhood Trauma
I have PTSD from my father molestng me 13-17yrs old. I believe that stress set me up for MS/immune dysfunction. I still have triggers that affect me. Worried about my half sister and step sister for 20 yrs until they got older. Told his third wife, she stay him! Sick in the head also
