What to do if you don't want to take any of the MS drugs??

Post by disneylover »

So, does anyone have any tips or suggestions of what to do in a case where you don't want to do any of the MS drugs and want to focus on diet and vitamin D protocol? What about taking time off work, whether it be Family Medical Leave, Leave of Absence or disability retirement, because you need a Dr. to sign the paper work. Does it need to be a neurologist or can it be any medical doctor that you see? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

There are no simple answers to your questions, but there is a wealth of information on this site to help you figure them out, and you may want to do a lot of research here, read a lot of books, and search the web. I was diagnosed just a few years ago and I still follow the advise I am offering you and learn new things on how to better take care of myself on an almost daily basis.

The bottom line is be as healthy as you can be in every way. But exactly what it takes to be 'healthy' is may be hard to determine as no one really knows for sure but there sure are a lot of opinions on the subject!

If you are considering disability, consider getting an attorney - they typically don't charge upfront and there is no direct cost to you if you do not get SSDI.

Thank you for the advice!! This can get to be just too much to absorb and think about! But I agree, I think that to be as healthy as you can be with diet, exercise, more sleep, meditation, prayer and faith and less stress are key.
