I had an issue with my heart that was discovered by chance while I was put to sleep for a colonoscopy last week (this was my 3rd attempt for a colonoscopy in 4 months after two unsuccessful attempts due to inadequate prep. This issue did not show up in the prior colonoscopy procedures). After several days in the hospital and a minor procedure, I am home recovering and doing well. And lucky to be here frankly.
But after doing some basic research I was surprised to find out that the heart can be affected by relapses (I had been told previously by my doctor that this was not the case). I likely had minor heart damage 3 years ago from a relapse and was asymptomatic all this time.
My advise... see a cardiologist every 6 months just as a precaution. Because you never know.

Re: Heart Health - be aware
Hi,
I cannot suggest strongly enough that you buy and read a book called "The Sinatra Solution: Metabolic Cardiology" by Stephen Sinatra.
In 2014 I stopped two chambers in my heart without a single blockage. It just stopped. I was part of the way to doing what he suggests for a healthy heart for my MS and that is probably why I am here today. If you read through it to look at some of the issues that arise in MS like fatigue and muscle tightness it become an invaluable tool.
A cardiologist will say he knows nothing about MS and a neurologist will say he knows nothing about cardiology. They could help a lot of people if they tried.
Regards,

Glad you are doing well now. And thanks for the recommendation - very much appreciated! I have ordered the book.
