Food poisoning and days off the antibiotics
I developed food poisoning on Saturday night and the following day was too ill to consume antibiotics. On Monday evening I resumed antibiotics but then yesterday felt too ill after lunch to continue to taking them or indeed my new script for Lipitor. I wonder if I should just leave all medicine for a week or so...I'm feeling okay this morning but was very bloated yesterday evening. I guess I should swerve the antibiotics till the end of the week as I don't think they go very well with feelings of poisoning.

Oh Alex, poor you. Yes, if you are likely to be sick there is no point in taking antibiotics, but in any case, you have been taking them for so long anyway, a little break will do you no harm. I hope you soon get over it!

Thanks, Sarah. Not taking medicine every day is really quite nice! Though my tummy is STILL bloated. That food poisoning was mean. Never eat tepid bolognese in foreign hotels!!
