Re: Does this sound like ON to you?

what you are describing is exactly what my cousin was describing when he was very ill. It turns out that what he had was called neuroretinitis which is very very similar and closely related to optic neuritis. From there we discovered he was misdignosed with MS for 13 years and had 5 infections (chla...

Re: Diagnosed today

If the story your telling me is true than you should seriously consider holding off on the methyprednisone. That is a steroid. If your neurologist is wrong and because the testing is inaccurate for Lyme, especially when you suppress your immune system with steroids you will be harming yourself great...

Re: Diagnosed today

are you aware of the biggest controversy in medicine? Lyme disease + Co-infections (bartonella and babesia). Many many people are misdiagnosed with MS and really have these stealth infections. and recently I have read a lot about this controversy brewing in Australia. Please, please, please look int...

Re: please help me getting nowhere with doc for over 7 year

Educate yourself on the most controversial disease in the history of medicine on just about all facets of the disease- Lyme disease and coinfections- Bartonella and Babesia. Sounds like a textbook case with the night sweats, pain in foot and eye pain. Read Dr. Burrascano's Guidelines by googleing fo...

Re: MS or Not that is the BIG question.....

Tinkhammer, For some reason, optic neuritis is only associated with MS, when it can be caused by an infection. If I were you I would avoid the steroids. Has your doctor tested you for Lyme? Bartonella? Mycoplasma Pn? Do you know that Lyme disease is the most controversial disease in the history of m...

Re: My Drs are baffled

If I had a million dollars I would bet what you have are serious infections called Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. These infections are very difficult to test for and very difficult to treat and each of them need to be treated. This is why Lyme disease is the most controversial disease in the history ...

Re: Tests came back negative, getting worse

Santanabmw, Please know I am not disputing that you are sick, I believe everything that you say as what you describe is what my cousin did as well....until after 13 years we finally realized he was misdiagnosed and really had Lyme Babesia, bartonella, cpn, and mycoplasma pn. What I am saying is the ...

Re: First time use of steroids

if you have an infection, steroids will make you much worse! steroids suppress the immune system and make it harder for your body to produce antibodies. this is what the lyme and coinfections test is testing. In other words if you have these infections which are very difficult and extremely unreliab...

Re: Tests came back negative, getting worse

santanabnm, Unfortunately, you are incorrect... you can never rule out Lyme and coinfections for several reasons. First, the testing is inaccurate. Second, the steroids you are currently taking are suppressing your immune system and therefore your body will have a more difficult time producing antib...

Re: minocycline

Jerrygallow, Hopefully you have started the recommended supplement NAC but more importantly done some research. Minocycline is twice as strong as doxycycline but nonetheless very effective for MS. Your reaction after a week of minocycline is expected and is somewhat confirmation of an infection. Do ...

You are aware that a negative Lyme test does not mean you do not have Lyme, aren't you? If not read this link. http://lymedisease.org/news/lyme_disease_views/virginia-gov-signs-lyme-bill.html Furthermore, Lyme disease is the most controversial disease in the history of medicine!! Re: Dizzy for 9 months – MS, Lyme, Migraines, Anxiety or VH?

Alex, In my opinion you have Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella. Lyme is the most controversial medical issue in history and the CDC just admitted there are over 300,000 a year , an estimate that increased 10 X what they thought. MOst people get infected with multiple pathogens. It is not just lyme, there...

Re: Optic Neuritis

If I were you, ask your doctor for minocycline. Let me explain. As is so often the case, this is one of the first symptoms but how do you know the difference between optic neuritis and neuroretinitis? You don't, but they are just about the same. Assuming you are from Boston or Mass with a name like ...
