The NP told me of one of the women on the study who had the same thing happen regarding lesions and MRI. She went in for an MRI and according to the radiologist who read them, she had zero lesions and if not for the fact that he already knew that she had MS, he never would have been able to tell it ...

Well if my experience is anything to go by, happy bunnydom will be your state in the future as the ever popular bladder problems were among my laundry list of symptoms. Granted, my symptoms may have gone away on their own without the Campath treatment, but considering my condition before treatment I...

April check up

Hi all, I had my quarterly appointment for the study yesterday and things went well, though I only dropped to a 1.0 on the EDSS scale. I was hoping for 0.0, but I guess that might be a tad hopeful. Apparently I’m missing some reflex actions in my left foot, and according to the NP it’s unlikely that...

Raven, The one bit of advice I can give is to be patient. I'm not sure what kind of shape you're in, but in my case it was a very slow process of getting things back to normal over the past 18 months. For me there was no "WOW!" moment where I suddenly felt great, but just a slow progressio...

Hi Sassy! Welcome and greetings from a fellow citizen of the (still) frozen state of Michigan. Even though it's bright and sunny at the moment, it's still only a whopping 29 degrees outside. I don't know about you, but I'm having doubts that spring will ever arrive  I usually really enjoy summe...

Robin, Welcome to the Campath bunch! I've never heard of CAMMS224 (I'm on CAMMS223), are you currently on any of the CRAB's and they're not quite cutting the mustard so you're being given Campath, or is this the beginning of phase III? Either way, I hope it works out for you, keep us posted. I have ...

Well, work is full of stress (as usual) and I'm incredibly sick of winter though it has actually been reletively mild for West Michigan. However, I actually got outside tonight an strapped on my snowshoes for the first ime in a couple of years (since my diagnosis, actually) and trudged around the ya...

Personally I'm doing very well. I've had no relapses since my initial dose in October of 2003. When I signed up for the study the neurologist who was doing the observations for the study rated my disability at 2.5 on the EDSS scale. I dropped to a 1.5 EDSS score after 9 months, and I have a feeling ...

Quick update

Hi all, Just a quick word on the Campath trials. The one year report was sent out to either he FDA or ILEX pharmasudicals (I’m not sure who it was going to) but the NP who wrote it showed it to me when I was in for my quarterly appointment. The report was for the folk’s who are on the “2nd study”…. ...

I got some info on the patient on the study who came down with Listeria that I had mentioned in an earlier post. I was at the clinic for my quarterly blood draw earlier this week and asked the NP about what had happened with her. Apparently she was at a reception of some sort, and one of the foods b...

Yes, Graves disease was a major concern while making my decision to enter the clinical trial. After all it certainly had a creepy sounding name. Anything with the word GRAVE in it is sort of a red flag in my book:). However while dicussing my options for treatment with friends & family I found o...

The NP warned me of that in our initial meeting. Stretching back my memory to over a year (so don’t quote me on this) the people who have leukemia receive larger doses over a longer period of time, and she said to try and avoid the internet when making the decision to participate or not as there may...

Well, here it goes. I was diagnosed with RRMS in Aug. of ’03 (male, 37 y/o at the time). My symptoms pretty much ran the gamut…. horrible balance/ walking problems, having to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes, having trouble remembering where the bathroom was, stiff, sore muscles, trouble swallowi...
