Re: Zinger Chair?

Oh, in case anybody is interested, the updated Zinger Chair, known as the Joy Rider Chair in the UK, is now available in the US as the Zoomer Chair. https://shop.southernmobilityonline.com/power-chairs/best-selling-power-chairs/new-zoomer-chair-now-available/ However, this site and others state that...

Re: Zinger Chair?

Do you know the cost of this one? It looks amazing! No, I don't know the cost. Though, their website states that there are charities that are buying them for disabled veterans. You are still just 'shopping' at this point, correct? Yes, still shopping. I think that I would have a hard time getting i...

Getting up

Getting up after a fall can sometimes be a challenge. I sometimes use our stairs to get my legs below me. Here's a video with some additional ideas.

However, this person still has full use of their legs. My legs don't often bend like that.

Re: Swollen ankles and feet

It is too soon for me to make any definitive conclusions about the LegXerciser at this point with regard to its long term benefits for me. Time will tell. Should I be able to confirm improvement in the future, I will post an update. At this point, the one conclusion I am sure of is that my legs get...

Re: Swollen ankles and feet

Hi ElliotB, I just received the "LegXercise" machine I ordered and am trying it out now for the first time. I am impressed with it. If you have any type of issue with your legs such as stiffness and/or cramping, swelling or have lost the ability to use them, it may be a good idea to invest in one an...

Re: Shoulder to shoulder with the 'Desatascador'.

As I have already suggested, degaussing to remove magnetite from the shoulders is essential because this deposit is easily transferred to the brain by large electromagnetic fields at 50 or 60 Hz we use in our daily lives. Here, and I stand by this, it is probably due to holding the plastic body of ...

Re: Zinger Chair?

It looks like the Zinger Chair is available in the UK as the Joy Rider Chair with more conventional motors and drive mechanism. https://www.e-goes.co.uk/shop/joyrider-powered-chair/ The following site says that the Zinger was the Joy Rider's predecessor so the US is getting marketed a second rate, o...

Re: Zinger Chair?

do you get a lot of rain in your area? Yes, and also a few days of snow each Winter. The driveway is also sloped and full of pine needles. did you find something else that you prefer? I'm still shopping, but something like these look intriguing. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073V11B1Q/ or https://www....

Re: Zinger Chair?

After reading multiple reviews I've discovered that the Zinger Chair's drive mechanism consists of a knurled shaft that is pushed against the tire treads in order to propel the chair. If the tires get wet or get debris on them, like pine needles, then the drive mechanism loses its ability to propel ...

Re: Irony for breakfast

It sure beats moldy rye grain though. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/witches-curse-clues-evidence/1501/ When Linnda Caporael began nosing into the Salem witch trials as a college student in the early 1970s, she had no idea that a common grain fungus might be responsible for the terrible events of 1...

Irony for breakfast

You gotta love the irony in the disconnect of our modern food supply. I was eating fresh strawberries, watermelon and an orange for breakfast today looking out my window at an inch of freshly fallen snow covering the ground and streets.
