Re: CVI and CCSVI similarities?
I do not have ms but I do have ccsvi. I've had the jugular angioplasty twice on both jugulars and the azygos plus one to my kidney. My left leg tends to swell and no doctors seemed worried until yesterday when it swelled up like a balloon all the way to just above my knee and then my right leg start...

Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
Update!! I had my Venogram in Houston with Dr. McGuckin last week. One jugular was 50% blocked, the other jugular was 70% blocked, my azygos vein to my heart was blocked as was the vein to one of my kidneys. He did the balloon venoplasty on all but the kidney vein. It was only blocked 30% so he left...

Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
I just wanted to update that I'm having the Venogram with Dr. McGuckin in Houston, TX on May 3rd. And best of all the insurance is covering 80%!! :) Hallelujah! Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
My insurance company has denied my claim for the CT venogram. They want other tests done first. I'm waiting for a call from my doc to find out which tests they are asking for. They mentioned another lumbar puncture but I've already had two! It's gonna be a fight I guess.

Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
Thank you everyone! I have started the process of getting my insurance company on board and will have my testing done as soon as possible. With the severity of my migraines this weekend it has put me into superspeed to get the ball rolling. I will let you know what happens.

Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
He's in Houston but that's fine...much closer than anyone else. I also found Dr. McGuckin at Vascular Access Center in Houston. Has anyone heard of him or Dr. Paul Lin?

Re: CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
Thanks for your response!
I'm in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. Is there someone near me? I'll ask for the doppler ultrasound but I'd like to go to someone who is more focused on the CCSVI than who I'm currently seeing. They're a pain specialist.

CCSVI without MS diagnosis?
I do not have MS but I'm hoping someone can help me here. My doctor in Dallas has suggested getting a CT venogram to check for CCSVI. I've been searching for answers almost 15 years. I have done every test, every procedure and taken every medicine they have thrown at me over the years. I am tired of...
