what new cuff?

I'm spluttering after reading your post! The electrode I'm now using is 2" by 2". They never mentioned bigger cuff. Why did you get it? How much did it cost? I am learning how to better handle the new electrodes but they are very gummy and stick to my skn when I remove the cuff. When I tou...

walkaide using bigger electrodes

I have not pursued answers to my electrode problem until now! My MS went on a rampage and I started rituxan. BUT, I started thinking I might yet live another day so I called about my Walkaide problem. (I called the Neuroscience facility and left a message with the rep I knew. She contacted the Hange...

electrode Burns Skin

I posted this on another thread but got no response. Here's hoping! I'm a farmer and sometimes I think the farm would fall apart without duct tape! I have a different problem which is a big one.. My walkaide was great. Kept me walking and able to stand/move for 8 hour Saturdays at my Farmers' Market...

electrodes

I'm a farmer and sometimes I think the farm would fall apart without duct tape! I have a different problem which is a big one.. My walkaide was great. Kept me walking and able to stand/move for 8 hour Saturdays at my Farmers' Market. But, my skin reacted to one of the electrodes. I kept wearing it o...

inexperienced technicians

When i walked out of the Springfield, MA office in anger, I called NeuroScience (?)--the company that makes Walkaide. It turned out lucky as the Boston person was travrling to Vernon CT the next day. We met her there and she fitted me with the technician watching. Thank goodness she drew a template....

INTERESTING

There is a walkaide place just 10 minutes from my home. The fellow was so unpleasant I ended up traveling an hour to Vernon. Even so, the technician was inexperienced. I learned more from this site.
It reminds me of when I bought a Segway.....por responses from the company.

I have the walkaide

I did not try the Bioness as the guy never called me back and I am an impatient one. When the Walkaide worked wonders during my trial week, I bought it. (I used the HaNGER facility in Vernon) I am running a 5 acre organic farm with 2 big greenhouses. When I get tired my legs won't hold me up--even t...

I like my Walkaide

I am a farmer and also have 2 big greenhouses. This is crunch time as farmers' markets start in just a few weeks. My point is that i am walking on very bumpy ground (this is a working farm in New England and nothing is simple, wide or paved! Still, the Walkaide has helped me navigate. Sometimes it g...

I bought mine a month ago...

The Hanger people called my private insurance plan and came back announcing my plan would cover it 100% and my husband's would cover it 80%. Turnsout that was a trick by Hanger. They had only asked our insurance companies about coverage for Durable medical Equipment.Wish they didn't do that. I was g...

Truthfully, changing the electrodes?

I was just wondering how often people are actucally changing the sensors--electrodes--whatever they are called. The information provided says to change them every 1-2 weeks but mine have been on for 3 weeks and, frankly, they look just the same as week 1. I wondered how I could tell they HAVE to be ...

My experience with my Walkaide

I like my Walkaide a lot. I start the da with a baclofen to uncurl my toes and the walkaide works well. The biggest problem I have after the last month relates to the inexperienced technicians. The original person who programmed mine came from the Innovative Neurotronics home office in Boston. Boy w...

tilt sensor--walkaide

The walkaide does not fire at
a set rate. It has a tilt sensor that fires when you go into stride. It will therefore adjust and work adapting to a change in stride.

my Hanger visit today to correct Walkaide

Well, I printed the great post by Brandisi that memtioned before and brought it with me. My Walkaide did lift my leg every time but seemed to be twisting my foot which caused pain and the muscle running up my leg was also quite painful. The technician said that I needed to adjust to it--which i woul...

walkaide cost for me

My insurance said they would cover it 100% and my husband's insurance said (80%) but I still had to front the money or wait for the insurance to actually come through. (Hanger must have been unsure as insurance coverage is new.) Anyway my sample one which I had for a week worked right away. After a ...

I've been using Walkaide or 3 weeks

The first week I had a test walkaide and it was a wonderful week. I walked without dragging my leg, I waled with better balance and i had a lot of energy (probably because I was not dragging my leg). So, I bought my own Walkaide. (the hand held device thaT IS PART OF THE Bioness was the deciding fac...
