Inosine… Again!

In researching alternatives to mainstream-medicine’s approach to treating MS, I’ve come across many articles and scholarly papers denoting the relationship between serum (blood) uric acid levels and the incidence and severity of MS. The most telling anecdotal evidence suggesting a relationship is th...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

That was a very interesting article. I would if anything more recent since it was dated from 1994. I appreciate all your help.

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Thank you! It really isn't all that strange that nothing showed in the last test. From what read it is quite common and the fact that I have been taking NAC as a first line defense may have helped.

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Get a copy of the WB. Get the mino if you can but don't panic if you start taking it and feel bad. Lesions don't mean MS. Something causes lesions and lesions can be caused from infections. Learn about the wheldon protocol also- google it and do it. You need multiple antibiotics to beat it. I hope ...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Since the weird bald spot on my scalp happened in April 2012 and I was not tested until late September, would the IGG (no active or old infection) test p23 still as Lyme specific? On my results sheet for IGM it simply negative, there was no breakdown like the IGG. I wish I could send a photo of the ...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Results print says: Lyme Antibody IGG Western Blot Inte P23 AB Present! P41 AB Present! Not sure what the AB means but the paperwork says p23=OSPC and p41=flagellin are criteria for positively. Is my p23 the same as this p23? Another paper says LYME Total AB Screen Result=0.60 I was tested back in S...

Re: Starting LDN

I just went to my PCP to get on this protocol, but he has it is not well founded. So i left him the 7 page printout and told him I'll see him in 2 weeks to rediscuss. Sorry for the late response, I never received an email stating someone posted on this thread. Good luck to you!!! I am on 4 months an...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

LDN information is abundant on the web. My PCP would not prescribe and my Neuro would prescribe ONLY if other FDA drugs did not work. She also said she would prescribe to take side by side with Rebif, but from what I read, LDN and Rebif should NEVER be taking together. I am NOT a conspiracy theorist...

I was under the impression that if you have MS, you cannot have Gout and vice versa. That would be all the "exclusive" talk?

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

location- check, bands- check, symptoms-check, lesions- check, the fact that you were treated with 3 weeks of doxy which means your dr. may have thought so too-check. Your dr. treated you with the standard IDSA treatment for lyme. A 23+ and 41+ band on an IGM Western Blot is CDC positive- if I were...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Thank you very much bartman. I took your advice and I am in the process of finding a LLMD. I will hold off on Copaxone for a bit (which it what I wanted anyway) until I can diagnose myself… apparently. I know replies on these kind of sites are not actual medical advice, but you swayed me the way I w...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

Thank you for your reply. I was tested twice months apart with WB from PCP. After MRI, neuro tested PCR with spinal fluid, all fine there. I have been reading about the 3b's and I am currently trying to find a LLMD or ILAD. I am thinking of going to my PCP and getting Minocycline since the neuro won...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

bartman: what makes you think I have Lyme? The bald spot? The bands? The symptoms? My location? I appreciate everything you wrote and will use now by finding a LLMD. I had lesions, spinal tap and all are consistent with why they call MS. I was very addiment that I had Lyme and will continue to be te...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

I am all to familiar with Lyme. I had a weird bald spot on my scalp which was perfectly round and they sent me to a surgeon who said it was NOT a scalp cyst. I have since been tested for Lyme twice and came back with bands 23 and 41. The bald spot occurred in April 2012 and my first symptoms were Se...

Re: The Start Of Copaxone

So how long have you been on BG-12? Any new lesions and exacerbations since the start? Do you genuinely feel BG-12 is the right drug for you? I am currently waiting for the nurse to appear at house for a home treatment of Copaxone. Another main reason I chose it was because I really want to continue...
