Lyrica

Does lyrica cause muscle weakness? I've only been taking it for about 2 weeks and have noticed weakness in arms and legs.

Progressive?

I had burning ankles last year for about a month, went to the neuro and he said not MS, did no testing, and said not to worry about it. Symptoms went away. This year, the burning came back in august and has been here ever since. If it was actually MS, would this be considered a progressive MS. Is th...

Dos this seem reasonable?

Saw a another neuro yesterday for second opinion. Said b/c I have had 5 brain MRIs over the last 10 years, I do not have MS. He said it would have presented itself with other symptoms by now. I expressed my concern about all of them being on open machines. He said it's not that hard to pick up MS. H...

Re: New symptoms for me

I'm having an EMG next week b/c I have not been dx'd yet. I just know something is wrong. My neuro says because I have had 4 MRI's over the last 10 years of the brain, With no lesions, I don't have MS. Do you have any of the eye problems? Or motor problems?

New symptoms for me

When you have a flare up, can you feel burning in both legs and arms at the same time? My little toe on left foot is also feeling a little numb. Usually it's just my ankles and feet but today it's feels like the burning is more severe and on both legs. Face even feels flushed.

Re: How can he say that?

Next on the agenda is blood work to check B12 and various other blood tests. And then I think an EMG is scheduled in the next couple of weeks.

How can he say that?

Had Brain MRI w/wo contrast last week. Neuro left message on phone saying I do not have MS. But everything I read here contradicts his hard stance and my feet and ankles are still symptomatic with burning and tingling. So confused.

Re: Confusion about diagnosis

Thank you for the advice. After reading so many of these posts, I'm very skeptical now of doctors. Wish I didn't feel that way.

Confusion about diagnosis

I had an MRI of the brain on Wednesday with an MS protocol done (with/without contrast). Just got a voice mail from the neurologist saying that MS is off the table because it was negative. Am I wrong to think that just because you have an MRI of the brain you do not have MS? I still have the tinglin...

Re: Finding a dx.

Good advice. But I tell you, if I could stop the burning around my ankles, I would be more than happy to forget about a diagnosis.
