Re: What is MS?

There are many, many theories about what MS is caused by, and probably well over 40 'cures' but there is no single theory/cure that doesn't have inconsistencies and certainly not one that has been proven. But Gristy56's proposal makes reasonable sense IMHO. Probably more sense than many/most of all ...

A Drug that Recreates Many Common MS Symptoms

I was just 'introduced' to information about a pharmaceutical drug called Gabapentin with the hope of taking it to help with my nerve pain. I had high hopes as this drug seems to actually help many that use it - Gabapentin appears to affect the build up of electrical signals in the nerve cells, as w...

Re: Nu step

I just decided to get a similar machine (expecting to receive it in about a week) and found this one which is much for affordable (easily less than 1/4 the price) and my hope is that the unique leg movement it provides (up/down) will be superior to the 'traditional' circular leg movement on most suc...

All of those look very interesting and superior to the Zinger. Please let us know which one you decide on.

Re: Trump admin proposes using Facebook & Twitter to verify disability

Kind of silly as a doctor's certification is required to get SSD benefits in the first place, but of course there is fraud everywhere at all levels.

Re: I need a walkaide

Whether you get a Walkaide or not, exercise should be an important element to your treatment. You may not yet have found the most efficient exercise(s) to help you. I do a lot of exercise and only realized recently that the exercises I was doing where not targeting my specific muscle weaknesses. I t...

Re: I need a walkaide

"Does anyone know when i can find a low cost walkaide device" Since these require specialized programming and supplies from the manufacturer, and typically they will not help those who buy these devices used, there are really no options for a low cost walkaide device . BUT... There are many exercis...

This is probably not a device you want to buy used unfortunately. Programming and supplies can be difficult or impossible to get for a used unit.

Re: What is the point of seeking a diagnosis

Why take a chance and guess? Could be psychosomatic, or could be something 'real'. For your long term health, it may be in your best interest to determine what the true cause is.

Re: Headaches

Perhaps you should refrain from activities that cause you headaches. I am not saying not to exercise, just to adjust the intensity of what you are doing so you don't get a headache. My experience is the opposite of yours. I have nerve pain and get mild 'MS' headaches from time to time (regular pain ...

Re: hair (and eye) changes

"how would you describe what happened to your dad's pupils?" Although he had no issues with his vision other than regular eyeglasses with a prescription that rarely changed through his adult life (no cataracts even at age 70) , his eyes looked as if the detail in them was 'out of focus', blurry wit...

Re: Back again after 3 years

What kind of diet are you following? Are you on a gluten free diet?

Many diseases can go into remission for long periods of time giving a false sense of security.

Re: Back again after 3 years

The symptoms you have could be any number of things. It may be time to visit your doctor(s) again.

In the last 3 years, what kind of changes have you made with regard to your health?
