Re: Update!

Yay someone who talks like me! Haha. Thanks, 623san. It feels good to know others have had issues as well. He wasn't so much an asshole, just very dismissive and compared me to other patients. I got that MRI done on Saturday, you can bet I'll be taking my results somewhere else.

Update!

So I finally got in to see the Neuro... and it was a total waste of my time. He saw the tremors and said "it's really not that bad" and recommended a pill to fix it. Then he compared me to another patient he saw that had "terrible tremors all over her entire body" that were fixed...

Just want to symptom vent for a minute

I have a neuro appt next Friday, but my symptoms were seemingly better until last night. I had eaten really well yesterday, and then I went to my roller derby practice and about 1.5 hours in my hands started tingling really badly. Then they completely went numb. After that, I had trouble staying upr...

Re: Lab results

Thank you. I know one of those tests was for syphillis and one was for celiac's, both of which came up negative. Not sure which ones though. I plan on getting that book on Friday. I did read through jimmylegs' post on his signature, are there other resources for looking up optimal lab results vs wha...

Re: Nerve conductor test

Yeah, I've started on D and mag supplements, and will start on B12 as well. I already limit gluten, dairy, and sugar and follow a low carb diet (most of the time  ) so I think I'm already good on diet. I exercise twice a week so I'm going to bump that up as well.

Re: Nerve conductor test

Great, thank you. As with each test, I'm hoping it comes back with something haha. Seems weird, but I know people on here *get* that feeling that we want it to be anything, as long as we have an answer and we are hoping it's not MS. Thanks for the helpful info, I'll check it out. I've honest...

Lab results

Forgive me if there's a better place to look up what is "normal" and what's not. My doctor says this is "normal" but I want to make sure I'm not missing something. Magnesium, serum - 2.2 mg/dl TSH - 1.116 mu/i B12 - 395 pg/ml D2 25 hydroxy level - <1 ng/ml D3 25 hydroxy level- 30...

Nerve conductor test

Apparently along with an MRI, this test is next up on the list. Have any of you had one? I'm a bit nervous because I heard they are uncomfortable. What is the purpose of one?

Newb. :-)

Good morning... I found this forum last week and it's already been super helpful. I have not been diagnosed but I've been to the doctor and posting in that forum, so it's a work in progress. I am 30 years old, a mom to a 5 year old, and I play roller derby, belly dance, ride a motorcycle, and enjoy ...

Re: New person here, just want some third party opinions

I think normal, in this case, means no Syphilis, no HIV, Lyme, no viral evidence, etc. I don't know what other nutrients were tested, I think she also said B12. I am going to get a copy faxed over as soon as they open so I can look at it. I did start back up on the CAl-Mag supplements and started ta...

Re: New person here, just want some third party opinions

Okay, all my labs came back normal. My vitamin D is slightly low but nothing she is concerned about. I think I counted 12 vials of blood plus a urinalysis, so it was pretty extensive. She did say there were no autoimmunities but still sent a referral in for a visit to the neuro. I'm not sure what th...

Re: New person here, just want some third party opinions

YES. I am liking the nutrition stuff. I do not trust doctors much, so the least I can involve them, the better.

Re: New person here, just want some third party opinions

Ah! thank you! I would much rather address all that with nutrition before I start going down the diagnosis road. I will read those books and go from there.

New person here, just want some third party opinions

Hi there! I have a doctor's appointment tonight to start getting checked out, but I want to maybe alleviate some of my concerns. Unfortunately I googled my symptoms and it came up with all kinds of scary stuff, the most likely reason is MS. About a month ago, I noticed some stiffness in my wrists an...
