Re: Diagnostic testing question
Hi, all, I've been very quiet on this forum, as I was taking a break in figuring out my symptoms. You've all been so kind and helpful -- I really appreciate the support here. So now I'm back -- 2 brain MRI, 2 cervical spine MRI's, 3 neurologists and 2 GP's later. After going nowhere with my neurolog...

Re: Waiting on diagnosis
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I share many of the same symptoms and am currently undiagnosed. Feel free to PM me. Let us know how your testing goes. I sincerely hope you don't have MS, but if you do, you're in good hands with these folks -- they have a lot of wisdom to share. Blessings...

Re: Numbness... No answers?
Hi, Kim, Just curious...why does the neurologist say MS is unlikely? What does he/she think is going on? I have similar issues with my left arm, and my neuro keeps insisting that I don't have MS, even though I have some classic symptoms. I had clear brain and cervical spine MRI's on 3t a few months ...

Diagnostic testing question
Is it typical for a neuro to repeat a cervical spine MRI but not the brain? What would be the advantage to doing that? Some background -- I had negative brain and cervical spine MRI's on 3T last year, but symptoms of numbness/tingling/burning persist, particularly on left side. Also have weird throa...

Re: Do I just give up on answers?
Hi, there, I'm in a similar boat -- I posted a question about MRI's and lesions a few weeks ago. Take a look. Feel free to PM me. It's miserable to not have answers. I've been dealing with this for a year now, and still not really getting anywhere. I had a clean brain MRI when all this started, so n...

Re: MS or Tumor?
Unfortunately, since I'm undiagnosed, I'm afraid I can't offer much insight. I'm like you, in that my symptoms started shortly after my baby was born and now feel like they're worsening, in spite of clean MRI's last year. It's very frustrating not to have answers. I've learned to keep pushing -- I'm...

Re: 15 Years of off w/no definite Dx
Oops -- typo -- I meant they *do* attribute everything to stress if you don't fit their diagnostic criteria.

Re: 15 Years of off w/no definite Dx
I would get a second opinion. Unfortunately, I've learned that neurologists can be lazy and often don't want to attribute symptoms to "stress" if you don't fit into a neat box for them. I'm onto my third neurologist and still undiagnosed. I hope you get answers soon --it's terrible to be i...

Re: Feeling terrible
Hi, Cathy, I just saw my third neurologist and am no closer to getting answers. I don't have any advice for the tingling, although swimming does help me feel better these days ( I also have tingling and nerve pain). I hope you find relief soon. I'll be praying for you, and feel free to PM me -- I kn...

Re: Question about MRIs
Thank you all very much. I will double check to make sure I've had all those blood tests done. I believe I was tested for peripheral neuropathy, as I had nerve conduction studies done, which was normal. My real question (which got buried, I apologize) is this: is there a difference between a 3T MRI ...

Question about MRIs
Hi, all, I'm at a point where I'm very confused about MRIs and how reliable they are. I'm hearing conflicting things on the Internet and from my doctors. Some background -- I've been dealing with symptoms for over a year. Started with pins and needles in left arm, followed a few months later by numb...
