Re: Tecfidera side effect: hair loss?
Just to update- my primary physician said my blood test came back indicating my testosterone level is on the high side of normal for a female, so he's prescribing something to lower that level a bit. Hopefully that will correct my hair loss issue. My thyroid was "perfect" he said, and B12 ...

Re: Tecfidera side effect: hair loss?
Just to update, I emailed my MS Specialist and he said "It should not be from the Tecfidera." So I guess you're off the hook for now, little Teccy!!! I was told to see my internist.

Tecfidera side effect: hair loss?
I have been experiencing a major increase in the amount of hair that I naturally lose from washing hair/brushing hair. It started a few weeks ago but seems to be gradually getting worse. My thyroid levels are good and haven't had any crazy changes...so I'm assuming this is a side effect of Tecfidera...

Re: Tecfidera and Menstruation
Update: I think the medication might have played a part in my ovulating late this month, which explains why I am 9 days late (definitely not pregnant). I haven't asked my doctor what his thoughts are about it yet.

Re: Alcohol and Tecfidera
I've tried to stick with wine when having any alcohol at all. I'm 3 weeks in to my Tecfidera treatment and before starting, my doctor advised I should only have one glass of wine a week. I definitely have at least 2 a week, but I assume he knew I would. ;) I do not skip dosage. My understanding is, ...

Re: Tecfidera and Menstruation
I've been on Tecfidera for 20 days now, and my period is 6 days late, currently. I haven't been this late starting possibly ever. I'm definitely assuming the delay is due to the medication, especially since I have only gotten negatives on the couple of PT's I've taken. My husband and I are trying to...

Re: Tecfiera - Dont be afraid!
Hi Stephledo, thank you for sharing your Tecfidera story thus far! I just want to echo your sentiments. I too, read a bunch of scary stuff posted by the unfortunate ones who suffered horrible reactions with Tecfidera (and if anyone whom I just described is reading this, I am so sorry you had those s...

Re: 36 yo, diagnosed 5/1/14 w/RRMS
Wow, thanks everybody!! I'm overwhelmed by such quick and informative responses. My husband and I are starting a Paleo diet, we bought Dr. Wahl's book and have started reading that. We are pretty healthy, we have always enjoyed trying to eat healthy (although I'm guilty of having a bit of a sugar ad...

36 yo, diagnosed 5/1/14 w/RRMS
Hello! I'm Angie. I'm 36 years old, I've been married 9 years and have no children. In fact, my husband and I have had fertility issues for 7 years. We're gearing up to see a new Reproductive Endocrinologist at the end of June. I am one month in to my diagnosis and I feel nothing but blessed and tha...
