Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

My last post was last year. Since then I and others finally got approval from excellus BCBS for the 40mg 3x/week COPAXONE. This was in the fall of 2014. I am glad this happened before the generic form came out, because I believe that 3x/week is less invasive to my skin than any qd variety. Despite t...

Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

Let me know if you have any luck. So far I haven't gotten positive results but I keep being a slightly "squeaky wheel.".I have written some officials. Complained to Blue Cross and told them there official refusal reasons are "bogus." I recently sent a note again to Teva Pharmaceuticals and Shared So...

Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

I agree that anyone should be on the medication that is agreed on upon with the physician. The insurance companies are in control and that is just not right. If you agree please keep writing your representatives, Teva, shared solutions (but they have become very non transparent.. no way online to wr...

Re: So, what is the most affordable treatment for MS?

Just wondering have you tried this antihistamine treatment? It doesn't take much benadryl to "knock me out" or dry me out.
Not sure about this. Any real scientific papers on this form of MS Rx?

Re: So, what is the most affordable treatment for MS?

I haven't been here in a long time and I see it has been a couple years since your post. By now you may have figured out that there is not inexpensive way to be treated for MS!!! I hear most of the companies will help out if your insurance will not. I don't know where you live, but in the US we pay ...

Re: Facebook?

Yes, reading all this is somewhat discouraging, but I have to say it was b/c of Facebook that I learned about some of these MS groups that I do enjoy being a part of. I have not been in this one for a while and I don't remember where I first heard of it, but I did join a group called MYMSTEAM.COM (n...

Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

I may have written, but I don't see it. I read thru the posts here. My thoughts are that until a generic form of Copaxone comes out, insurance companies like mine will refuse all or most of us to go on the 40mg dose. I don't think the insurance company cares about what the patient or the patient's d...

Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

THE business of drugs and insurance is very unfortunate in many ways from a patient point of view. I read thru these posts, and I too get all kinds of info. about the 40mg Copaxone including a free dinner to push the new 40mg. Copaxone. My neuro told me last year this 3x/wk Rx would be coming out. B...
