Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
How many lesions do you have? I'm actually not sure how many I have. I was so shocked by the news, that I really asked no questions. I went in to get the results and told him, "You can read the results but from history I know that it's all completely normal and we still don't know anything.&quo...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
Thank you for that info. I'm not sure why the radiologist said it was odd to only have brain lesions. Someone needs some more schooling, lol. Ok, I feel a lot better now. Thank you!!!

Re: Just dx'd-what does this mean?
I had no idea. Well, I'll get a 2nd opinion to make sure there aren't spinal lesions that they missed. A radiologist read the report.jackD wrote:Spinal lesions are very hard to find.

Re: Just dx'd-what does this mean?
Ive been waitimg on MRI results for weeks. Unfortunately, I found out today that I do have MS. I'm not letting it get me down though. One thing my dr couldn't explain is why there were only lesions found on my brain and nowhere else. He's sending me to a neurologist though. Is there any significanc...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
Thank you everyone for your support. I'm reading about all the things y'all have mentioned. I wanted to update you that I did get the MRIs done this Monday and Wednesday. The valium they gave me worked great. It was pretty creepy what they had to do though. Not only did I get put into a machine that...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
There are "stand up" mri machines and open machines. I am the same way as you and can NOT go into a regular machine. I get it done at a place called stand up mri. You sit normally on a chair that gets pulled into the machine. It is a tight fit but everything is open and you are sitting up...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
I actually do have the numbers somewhere. I had a printed sheet but not sure what I did with it. I'll have to check on that. Thank you for all the helpful info! I posted this to another poster below, but I wanted you to see it also. :) As far as the claustrophobia, I start hyperventilating before th...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
Thank you! I will definitely go read it. :) Hi Melissa, There a number of things to look at, some of which are mentioned above. Your long history of tiredness and the geographic tongue suggest to me that you may have a problem with excess peroxynitrite. You may find this post too longwinded (http://...

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
They told me that sometimes they can get it done in less than 5 hours, but sometimes it does take that long. All I know is that they're doing some without contrast and some with contrast. As far as the claustrophobia, I start hyperventilating before they even put me in the machine. The one they have...

Re: Is this MS?
Let me ask you a question. Have you had a weird rash in the last year or so? If so, was it all on the left side of your body? Here's why I'm asking. About 6 months ago I got a small rash on the left side of my bikini line and an even smaller one on my left boob. I didn't think anything of it at all....

Re: Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
Thank you so much for this information! I had a gastric bypass 17 months ago and lost 130 pounds. Due to the gastric bypass, I have to take B12 shots every month and they check my levels every other month or so. So far it's been fine. Now they didn't go in depth with all those other tests. I'll take...

Loss of Bowel & Bladder Control and Memory Impairment
I know this is long, so thank you so much for taking the time to read it! Hi! I'm Melissa and 38 years old with 4 rotten boys! They are 17, 16, 14 and 11. I only gave birth to the 11 and 14 year old. The other two are my step-sons. That's just a little about me. About 1 year ago I started having bl...
