Liti
TM has a remarkably litigious orientation, threatening anyone who publishes any critique or negative opinion about his protocol and discouraging any open public discussion in this way. A rather excellent critique was on this CFIDS site, and you can make up your own mind about the threat to open disc...

Fluconazole
Jimmylegs- The fluconazole tabs I've been given are 200mg, I take them once or twice a week, mostly as preventative. I've not had strong reactions to fluconazole, except now and then. As it's systemic, it only hits fungus or yeast where it is in contact with blood supply. Most of the candida/dysbios...

How Cpn can effect multiple organ systems
This link explains how Dr. Stratton sees Cpn effecting multiple organ systems. I didn't include the pancreas in the chart, but the principle is the same.

It's about science not publication
Just to clarify-- scientists may have convictions about things personally, but when acting as scientists they can only state what is known. That is what science is about. They don't state their convictions when they are reporting or reviewing on the actual data available. This is not just about gett...

"Small Subset" language is good science
I guess I qualify as a "scientist" since I did a research dissertation, though it was years ago! Scientists, no matter what they "believe" about something, always must say what they know and no more. Until it is proven that 100% of MS is caused by Cpn (or anything else for that m...

Some resources to convince your doc
I know Vanessa has already found her way on this, but it might be helpful to others. These pages in the Cpn Treatment Handbook have been useful to wage the campaign to convince your doc: http://www.CPn Help.org/?q=a_sample_letter_to_local_ http://www.CPn Help.org/?q=what_to_bring_to_your_doc I'd lik...

Addendum
Ran across this in another post and thought it might be relevant to your question. It's a response from Dr Stratton to a question about how long to continue treatment, and what recurrance of symptoms might mean: From http://www.thisisms.com/ftopic-2502-days0-orderasc-0.html Dear Colin- I suspect tha...

Some if's...
Karen- Sorry you had difficulty posting on CPn Help. Sometimes folks forget to select a forum under which to post, and the system can't place your post. You can always use a blog, which doesn't require a category to post under, just your username. The If's- If you got the infection early, and if you...

This is no challenge for MS Antibiotic users
If you are familiar with the Vanderbilt findings you would know that Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn), the implicated organism is not killable by single antibiotic use. The particular agent used in this study (no matter how long or short it was used) only kills one form of Cpn-- the Elementary Body which ...

NAC symptoms
Most people get achey and runny noses, the "NAC flu" it's sometimes called. While it doesn't make sense that killing EB's should worsen MS symptoms as they are extracellular, any heightened inflammation in the body can worsen more specific inflammation and probably contribute to temporary ...

New research: Chlamyidia pneumoniae in brain cells
This pre-publication abstract looks to be a splendid piece of laboratory work. It strengthens the case for Cpn infection especially in MS and Alzheimer's, and other brain diseases. I've underlined two findings which seem to me to have particular importance for MS: (1)Neuronal cells: their sensitivit...

Apology to Sharon
In a response to another post on a different thread I made a sarcastic comment which, in retrospect, did nothing but contribute to the problem I was supposedly addressing: to promote a healthy community of discussion and information sharing. I apologize for this to Sharon and any others effected by ...

Sharon, et al
Sharon- You are right. It was not appropriate of me. Please accept my apology, also to others. I did not contribute to healthy discussion by my comment. Your report of ways you have been treated concerned me, and I want to respond, but don't want to continue to highjack Notdoneyet's thread. I will p...

Colin: a congrats; Ian: a question
Colin- this is very good to hear. You've been in it for the long haul, and I'm very glad you have seen such results. You've out-persisted a very persistent bug.
