I did experience hair thinning/loss around the 5 or 6 month of using Avonex. I was lucky that I started out with a ton of hair to begin with I guess. Anyway.....it settled down and I can honestly say that after using Avonex for almost 5 years now.....I have just as much hair as before I started.

I have been on Avonex since Nov. 2000. I had pretty bad chills, fever, achy muscles during the night of my injection for about 2-3 months. I advise you to keep 2 Tylenol and a glass of water on your nightstand. If you wake up in the middle of the night, it's nice to have them handy. After that the ...
