Any Experience with Cleveland Clinic?
Hi everyone! I posted here a month or so ago as my "do I have MS?" journey began. First post: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/undiagnosed-f54/topic28525.html As all of you know, there is a lot that goes on while trying to find out an answer. To condense it: 4 years ago, vertigo, dizziness, f...

Re: Vitamin D Level Link?
wowww what units? i have to assume ng/mL can you confirm? short answer YES d3 is in the nutritional picture where ms is concerned. it helps regulate your immune system. puts on the brakes in the 'attack' vs 'stop attacking' equation. among other things. it is BY NO MEANS the only nutrient of concer...

Vitamin D Level Link?
Finally got my Vitamin D level back. 8.6. Neurologist's office called and told me to pick up a script for 50,000 units, once per week. Maybe this explains all the weird symptoms I've had lately that brought me here. (feeling faint, tunnel vision, mild headaches, aching neck, numb feet, hands, left a...

Saw the Neurologist
I saw my PCP 12/19. MRI/MRA 12/23. Results 12/27. Neuro referral. First available was 3/30!! When I let my PCP know, he must've called. Moved appointment to 1/20. I work for orthopedic surgeons and after several disturbing symptoms and missing some work because of it, the head ortho surgeon called t...

Re: As I Wait for Answers...an Update
Being undiagnosed can be very frustrating! Keep in mind that there are about 400 illnesses that mimic the symptoms of MS. FWIW, most diseases are related and have inflammation in common. Some basic questions... Are you at an ideal body weight? Do you take supplements, if so what are you taking? Wha...

Re: Is It All In My Head?
how did your b12 result look by the way, do you have it on file? still waiting on my b12 result. i had it done in a separate panel (with folic acid, sed rate, c reactive protein, etc) and I left a message with my pcp to get a copy. I need a copy to take to my neurologist on 1/20. I will share as so...

Symptoms and Work
How do you cope with the onset of symptoms at work? I've missed a couple days here and there. I've applied and am waiting for an approval for intermittent FMLA but in the meantime, some days are just MISERABLE.
Any advice or just your stories would be appreciated.

As I Wait for Answers...an Update
I posted here last week for the first time...of course when I googled symptoms, MS is one of the many things that came up. I've since had an MRI/MRA of my brain and a referral to neurology. Initially, I was scheduled for 3/30/17 but my PCP called and now I'm scheduled for 1/20/17. MRI had 10 bilater...

Re: What Can I Expect at My Neurologist Appointment?
Why don't you contact your doctor's office and ask? I have seen two different neurologists and the approaches/test were quite different from each other. TIP: Since it appears you suspect MS, make sure you are seeing a neurologist who specializes in MS I don't know that I suspect MS just yet. It's c...

What Can I Expect at My Neurologist Appointment?
Hi Everyone! I am anxiously awaiting my neuro appointment and was wondering if you can give me an idea of what a typical first appointment with a neurologist is like. I have kept a journal of my symptoms and have a copy of my labs and a disc of my MRI. Will there be tests at this appointment? How lo...

10 Foci Bilaterally in Frontal Lobes
So I had my MRI follow up yesterday and the result said, "There are about 10 foci of increased T2 signal intensity in the frontal white matter bilaterally. These are nonspecific. While most commonly associated with chronic small vessel ischemic disease, other etiologies should be considered giv...

Re: Is It All In My Head?
OK, that's good but keep checking it. As its hot in the office, where are you? Is it heating or is it summer? What happens if you are in cool environments? Regards, Well, in the summer if the air conditioning isn't running or in the winter when the heat is too high. Also, in the car or at a basketb...
