Re: ATA188
It was OPEN LABEL, dose increase test in prep for phase III. I WAS given the real stuff, but was on the second highest dose, not the highest dose, which is what they went for in the Phase III. I did get two infusions (ie 2 years) at the full dose as part of an extension study. It did not work for me...

Re: ATA188
Why didn't measure fatigue or cognitive issues. I was in the open label study for about 4 years. They did measure cognitive issues (PSAT and memory tests) and did the fatigue questionnaire (self reported) at every visit, and suicide potential checks. This was of course in addition to physical perfo...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
Actually, just stumbled across the following. I wont give the AUS link, Im sure if you search ebay in your country you will get similar links. Search for "Power Spring Knee Pads brace Leg Support Rebound Lift Stabilizer Joint Knee Pads", Although its for pressure on the knee, I think it wo...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
I think my problem is lifting my whole leg off the ground. That unit appears more for the lower leg/dorsiflexion. Footdrop is not my major issue. Lifting my leg involves the upper leg and hip muscles muscles. It may help some, but I think the exo-skeleton would help a lot more. As I said, the users ...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
If it lifts your leg high, from above the knee (NB: The motor arm attaches just above the knee), then the dorsiflextion of your ankle isn't so much an issue, as your foot is lifted high above the ground. I know it isnt targeted specifically for MS, but as the day goes on, I personally find it harder...

NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
This came up recently in my YouTube suggestions, and if it is half as real as they make out, Im impressed. Its a kickstarter, so I dont know when you would get one. I think the RRP is set at $599USD, which I think is MUCH less than a Bioness for foot drop. The "Early Bird" is USD $299 (or ...

Re: Progressive MS Pipeline
Siponimod was recently approved as Mayzent. Its on my list of exit options for discussion. However, I do not think it has been approved in Australia. I think it is still under consideration of our equivalent of the FDA i.e. the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and for Govt funding under the P...

Current advancements in promoting remyelination in multiple sclerosis
The thing I like about this paper, is that it was published 2019. But it was submitted Aug 2018. If I understand it correctly, its based on a search across PubMed & such, so nothing "new", but it saves a lot of time searching. I was wondering what was happening with anti-LINGO-1. Curre...

EBV is not really a retro-viral, so I'll post elsewhere.

Re: Progressive MS Pipeline
I finished my last dosing a number of months ago. However, I have notably progressed including a relapse. I am SPMS. I have received the second highest dosing. I will be discussing with the trial Neuro about coming off the trial, and starting another DMD or restarting Gilenya. Although the study is ...

Re: Vibration
Oh, pharmas regularly test against nothing, i.e., placebo. Placebo is far from nothing. Placebo is where they actually give you "something", its simply that you do not know its really nothing. It's at the core of blinded placebo trials. I have never herd of open label placebo trials. Whic...

Re: Revitive TENS
Let me start by saying I am not a physical therapist. Plain directed physical exercise may be a simple alternative you can try at home right now. For example, I noticed I found it difficult to stand from a squatted position, so I started doing deep knee bends every day, and now its easier. I often t...

Re: Vibration
Study results like the above are very questionable. They did not compare it to an alternative core strength exercise such as planking. Testing against nothing? really?

Re: tACS Brain Stimulation Boosts Working Memory
Yes, one should never read anything into a scientific journal beyond what is actually stated. However, the article referenced above, as written, implied that they saw no end (ie all while they measured, for 50min). On the other hand, the article I read said there was a definite measurable end. A big...
