ABX treatments and vitamin D

Sarah, I hate to say it, but I don't know how to check your signature line. At first I thought you meant the area at the bottom of your post, but see nothing there. Moremiles, I'm not currently on any treatment. I'm nervous about starting anything because I have chronically elevated liver enzymes an...

ABX and vitamin D

Sarah and Mormiles,
So, both have been taking lots of vitamin D through the whole time.

Sorry for all the questions, but has there been much improvement in symptoms?

Lisa, I do feel badly that I can't continue on it. But, even Shared Solutions told me not to take anymore, until we figure out what's going on. (Although, they're not giving up on my taking it yet.) They haven't had anyone else have all these symptoms from it all at once, but they have had each of t...

Lisa, After all that, I've just had to give up Copaxone, after all this time. I was having some other reactions. I didn't even suspect Copaxone the first time it happened. I had lots of pain all through my trunk and in my joints and muscles like a bad case of the flu. Then I got chills and then a lo...

Copaxone injecting

Lisa, Shared Solutions was responsible for very little of what I wrote about. But, the seven different injections sites are right in the literature that comes with every order of Copaxone, including pictures and detailed instructions. The only part Shared Solutions played in my skipping every other ...

Copaxine injecting

I've been on it since 1999, (back when you had to mix it yourself), and I can tell you it's not just injecting wrong that causes injection site reactions. (Although doing it wrong is possible.) I talked to the nurses, rotate the 7 areas, have tried icing before and/or after, changed angles of inject...

Copaxone and diet

Lisa, I went on the Copaxone after I started the Swank diet, but before I started the grain-free diet. I started Copaxone in May of 1999. I started the grain-free diet in about February of 2,000, so almost a year later. I continued to get worse MS-wise all of 1999, and only improved after I'd been o...

Lisa, I never dropped the good diet. I can see how you misunderstood, because I said I regressed with "not on the diet" in paranthesis. What I meant was that I hadn't regressed in my use of the diet, I regressed in symptoms only. (After I typed that I'd regressed, I was afraid someone migh...

Effect of diet on MS

I didn't have time to read everyone's comments on this thread, (I did red the first page of them, though), but thought I could at least give my experience, since it's extensive. I was diagnosed in 1997. (Thought to have "probable MS" for 4 years prior to that.) I started on Swank about 199...

Swank and fats

I don't know who wrote that article but there are some problems with it. First of all, Swank did NOT recommend an increase in oils by any stretch of the imagination. (I have his book and am well versed in the diet.) In fact, he limited polyunsaturated fat to 10 teaspoons a day, which is only a littl...

Copaxone 26 year study PWMS who dropped out

I have known countless people who have taken Copaxone for a short period of time and then quit because it didn't help their symptoms. It's too bad that no one ever explained to them that Copaxone is not a drug that alleviates symptoms. It's a drug that slows the progression of the disease, which sim...
