A company called Geron is getting ready to submit an IND (investingastional, (sp) new drug)in the 4th quarter of '07. This will be the first use of embryonic stem cells in humans. Mice and rats are already walking. How will this effect us? Neurons are being formed and remyelination has occured in an...

California

They now have the go ahead from the courts, after two years of being held up, to proceed in distributing money for research with stem cells. The Supreme Court chose not to hear the case making it void. This is a huge step and I can only hope other states now follow.

Here's an update: I've been on Ty for 9 infusions. Great strides after my 1st, but since then have maintained improvements. For me, Ty has been a good thing. Read my past posts for more detailed info. Maintaining the treadmill along with other things has reinforced my hope. Stay POSITIVE! Don't let ...

I keep reading about these small improvements. This is awesome! Improvements were not discussed at all when the FDA was deciding wheather to bring it back or not. Keep it up.

A funny thing happened on the way to the gym.

OK, a story that happened on Sat.: It snowed here, about 2 inches. So, being a bright boy, took my sons car which is outside to the gym. Cleared the car of snow the best I could. Was about 1/4 mile from the house and got out to free the windshield wipers. Freed them and turned to get back in the car...

I don't remember how I received the hand controls. You can definetly(sp) but them seperate. As far as urine buildup is concerned, I have noticed a difference and again, that by far, is a huge difference maker. If I went by the book and listened to doc's, I would not be working out all these years. D...

As much as people want to be negative, it's the little things. No, I never had to stop driving. My wife and I bought hand controls in the '80s but never had them installed. Attitude is everything! I remain positive and now hope is here. Cures are with stem cells, watch what happens when they conduct...

I have not posted in a while, because there have been not a lot of major changes. After the 1st infusion progress has been slow but steady. Only MS people would care or indeed notice. Bathrooming has been a great change for me. Sleeping through the night is something that seems easy, but in reality ...

Medicare part B covers this at 80% of $2,375 price that Medicare has approved. I hope that helps.

Update: I tried 2 days, Mon, Wedn., to make sure my alternatives worked. What I did was wear a wet headband and cut my workout to 12 min. on the treadmill. Getting it through my skull that cutting my time down was OK, was challenging. My 3rd infusion is set for Dec. 18th. This seems to work. I have ...

Update: A new obstacle I have not read about. Would appreciate comments. Felt good going into Friday's workout. Workout itself went well. Problem: As I have increased time for workout, my core body temp, something I had given no thought to in years, went up causing MS to reassert itself. The only th...
