I have been on .44 for almost 2 yrs now
When I had my first major attack, it kept coming back and getting worse. I was in the hosp for a month total with about a week at home and then relapsing again. I couldn't stay out of the hosp till I started on Rebif. It stabilized everything. I had over 21 lesions come out in one month from first t...

Original post revisited
Well, the swelling bit went away, and so did the humongous amount of lesions in my MRI. I just had a six months check. I had over 20 lesions in awful places and they have retreated. I think its worth working thru the side effects. I am walking, talking, and swallowing OK now. Before I had lost all t...

psudoexacerbations?
I recently read about an MS phenomenon in Inside MS, the MS society magazine. If you are stressed, overheated, have a virus or other trigger, you can have pseudoexacerbations. Usually 24h or less in duration. Then they clear. They talked about people sunbathing at the beach and finding that when the...

The only sign that it is working is that you have no relapse
You wont feel Rebif doing anything that you can pinpoint as positive, though you might notice the soreness after the injection, or other side effects. Steroids only temporarily cool down an exacerbation, they do not prevent them long term. Exacerbations pass in their own sweet time without them. Reb...

Hypothyroid and taking Rebif
I had graves disease. I was severely hyperthyroid, They fed me radioactive iodine and killed it dead as a doornail. I have to take a huge dose of thyroid because I do not absorb it. 300 a day of armour thyroid. I seem to be doing fine. Maybe its not making a change because I dont have a thyroid to a...

swollen lymph nodes
I have been on Rebif for about a month and a half now. I am getting swelling in the lymph nodes and around the front of the ear on the edge of the face. Slightly sore. Is this a common side effect with Rebif?

Hello, 3 mo from diagnoses in Seattle
Hello. I am 44, widowed, and a college student. I got the 21 gun salute for my final acknowledgement of MS. I had been denying it for some time. My sister has it. So it took a 2x4 to get my attention. Carted out of work. In the hosp for 22 days. Now I am on welfare waiting on disability. It could be...

Hello, I am new to MS and to Rebif. 3 months ago, I was carted out of work. I got not one, but TWO rounds of 5 days/1000 mg /day prednisone within a month. I am in my 2nd month of Rebif therapy. So far, no real side effects, one minor reddening of an injection site, and that's it. EXCEPT... I have a...
