I have decided against the expensive machine. I don't think it really works as advertised. Hydro-therapy is always an option. The drawback is it's such a hassle going back and forth. I'm thinking about trying to get back into my yoga practice, even if I fall a lot. I just need incentive. (I guess no...

I am also heartened by hearing about all these improvements. My doctor, who worked on the Tyabri studies at Georgetown, was very, very upbeat about this drug and could not wait to get me on it. I am gearing up for my fourth infusion Feb. 13 and am more enthused each time. I do have a question, I hav...

Donna,
It's better to post than not. I started a thread called tysabru update after third infusion, that's getting a lot of hits and a few posts. I, (and others, I'm sure) would love to hear about how you are doing.

Lots of hits on this thread, but no one is posting. I'd really like to hear about your experiences with Tysabri. It helps all of us.

Pete,
What kind of hand controls and where did you get the info? I'm really wanting to get back into life and hand controls for my car would be a good beginning. I just never knew you could just buy them and have them installed. Thanks.

Pete, I had to stop driving a little over a year ago. I don't really miss it because I live in an area that is filled with nutty drivers (Arlington, Va). My question is, did you ever have to stop driving? My biggest problems have been a very negative and hopeless attitude, plus I can't really walk. ...

it totally makes sense. the changes are very subtle, but i think when you have an illness like ms, you notice every change, no matter how slight. i, too, feel a change in the numbness, but of course it is different for me. i feel these little electric-like charges, like the synapses are trying to ma...

Lew,
My hope is that this is not wishful thinking. Basically, I am wondering if others on Tysabri are experiencing little changes like these.

tysabri update after third infusion

I had my third Tysabri infusion on Jan. 12 and I want to share the little things I've been noticing: Once in a while, I take a few "normal" steps. The numbness in my left hand comes and goes, but has nearly gone away. I am not so tired. The ringing in my right ear has lessened and has even...

i had my second ty infusion dec. 12. there have been little signs. for example, i have had this intense ringing in my right ear and since the infusion, i've heard little pop sounds and once in while, the ringing goes away for a few seconds. i also have experienced seconds of near normal walking, whi...

amelia,
my son is still in the anger stage. i know it will change, but right now, it seems like it will never end. i'm not the mother he once had and wants again. i just hope he can come to terms with it. (hey, i haven't even come to terms with it.)

my family is very supportive. my husband does everything for me, but i know he is beaten down. as we all know, caregivers suffer immensely. i also have a 16-year-old who is completely unnerved by my downward spiral. my family definitely is not the problem. ms is the problem.

i knew one infusion was the not going to change the status quo, but i was hoping to get some sort of sign that something was happening.
