I am not eligible. I checked. I had previous Tysabri infusions...or so I was told when I inquired. Were you not eligible for the trial because of Tysabri or not eligible for off label because of Tysabri? The rules can be very different when you are not constrained by the research study protocol. It...

Hello all, I have now finished the Campath infusion protocol and things went very well. The Campath infusions lasted for 4 hours the first 2 days and then 3 hours for the last 3 days. I did not have any real problems tolerating the Campath as I did not have any fevers, chills, nausea, etc. during th...

Good luck Mike. I am in Tennessee and I keep seeing these new campath stories poping up from Kentucky. It would be cool to actually meet all of you guys at some point. The first week is not bad. If you are like me you probably won't begin to feel the effects until a week or two after the infusions....

Couple of questions, if you don't mind. How did you know the place in TN was doing Campath off-label? Primarily, the doc who I had been going to at the research site for Tovaxin as well as the CARE-MS II study told me that the MS clinic in TN was doing Campath off-label. My regular neuro doc here a...

My Campath Story
WOW, what an interesting but very stressful journey to finally get to this point! The short version of the story is that I was a Tovaxin lab rat who received Tovaxin during the 1 year of the Phase IIb trial and then 4 out of 5 vaccinations in the extension phase before Opexa ran out of money and shu...

Re: Campath feedback please
Mike, could you please make this a little clearer what you mean by this? I have found that it is illegal for Campath to be used off label in Australia for MS, and so am considering options of OS. Cure, Here in the US, once the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approves a drug for use in humans it ...

Re: Finally in
I thought that the objective with Tysabri treatment was to simply block the immune system from getting into the brain. NHE, You're correct, Tysabri is a humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to an alpha-integrin which is a protein involved in the mechanism of how the T-cells cross from the blood...

Maybe it's time we had a clandestine discussion about Campath here on the Tovaxin site since so many of us are considering it. Pros, cons, effects and side effects, long term efficacy, risk/reward thoughts etc. Thanks again Mike, you may have given us the ultimate Christmas present and inspired me ...

I certainly am going to look into it, but Jamie's not interested in spending any time on Rebif. Bob, I certainly have reservations about the Rebif arm as well. I started out this journey on Betaseron and I certainly don't want to go down the interferon road again. But I'll roll the dice on an 80% c...

Hello all, Things are a little quiet on the Tovaxin board lately but I just received a call from my Tovaxin study group. The latest news is that the Campath (Alemtuzumab) folks have now decided that we former Tovaxin lab rats ARE eligible for the Alemtuzumab CARE-MS II study (see http://clinicaltria...
