last year my neuro was using the "24 hr" distinction for a relapse too, but last month he used
"48 hr"...with the rest of the definition being the same. Not sure why the difference?

ClancyP- Our company is self-insured, they just use a benefits administrator. Wow, I don't bring home $1500 a month, how do you absorb that expense? I guess you know it's coming and you can save up for it? Why do you say that your insurance company keeps trying to drop you? What are they doing that ...

Hi Elly- I think that what that neuro told you is correct, there doesn't seem to be any set course for this disease. I had my first exacerbation at 19, then a smaller and less severe one at 29, neither of which were officially diagnosed as MS, only possible , along with at least 5 other possible cau...

Hello!
Wow- you sound like a great person from your intro- good attitude. Look forward to reading future postings from you. I am also a recovering perfectionist so your note really hit home for me. I would love to hear more about how you are dealing with the daily challenges, especially with work issues. I...

Lori- do you know how long you will be on it? I wasn't having any exacerbation that I was aware of prior to the treatment with it, and when I got so sick later I was pretty p.o.'d, like I'd been duped into taking it, which was a typical response from me at that point in time. Luckily I haven't had t...

Hi Lori- Sorry for the exacerbation-that sucks!! On the subject of Solumedrol, my neuro put me on infusion for 3 days last year. I had been feeling great but apparently my MRI was awful. The side effects they warned me about DID NOT happen (weight gain, ravenous hunger, and hyperactivity) but what D...

I haven't had the tremors or spasticity that so many other seem to suffer from. Is it painful? What seems to trigger it? The MJ seems to help so many with the effects of MS. I attend a local support group here and when I mention pain/extremely sensitive skin/blinding migraines, etc. the others don't...

Hi, I was diagnosed in March 2005, RRMS. Like a lot of people on this site I'd had vague symptoms for years before the doctors made the official verdict. I seem to be on this weird "10-year" exacerbation schedule. I still have lots of small things that occur, physically, but no major disab...

RE:Loobie comment from Jan. 31 I have also used it occasionally for that pain that makes your clothes hurt your skin. Not a medical description, but those who get it know what I'm talking aobut. Is there a medical term for this? I cannot seem to get across to the docs what I am talking about, and yo...
