Hey Loriyas, Glad to hear the solumedrol burst is over, but yes, it's a major bummer when you find that you have to hit the ORAL steroids too! I do a solumedrol "burst" every two months in order to keep exacerbations at bay. (Diagnosed Feb06, without a MAJOR flare since I began the bursts ...

I'll be at the conference in Holyoke, MA on Wednesday April 4. It's put on by Biogen, so it's of course going to be heavily promoting Avonex etc. Anyway... I'm stoked to just get out and meet folks anyway! Anyone else going??

Oh... maybe I was unclear  Each year I pay $1500 ONE TIME... then they pay for everything. I just absorb it as part of my insurance plan (I pay about $3000 a year and am thankful) We don't have a problem saving for that one time deductable because... well... we know that the drugs alone cost m...

After my $1500 deductable, my insurance pays for everything 100% (up to 5million) It's a blessing, and if I ever lose this insurance (which they TRY to drop me every month) then I'm in trouble. But for now, it's the best deal goin! Pre-filled at Brooks Pharmacy is $3111.95 and through mail order I h...

May Dom and Bob be sentenced to a week's worth of dinners that are undercooked on the inside and more burnt than the seventh circle of hell on the outside.

But meanwhile, would someone please tell his wife to get back in the kitchen? Could of sworn I saw her with some shoes on too...

Hi Elly, I understand where you are coming from, and it was stated very well. In the first flare, my doctors pumped the steroids, did the lps (three of them at three different hospitals...all "positive") They got the flare under control and told me it may never come back... or I may wake u...

Keep in mind I'm a newbie and not as well educated on this as I should be... (a lot of times when trying to understand this disease I make "common sense leaps"... however, I find out more and more that this disease often defies logic) If we are assuming that normal-appearing grey and white...

So with this information, I want to conclude that working on our fast twitch muscles (through polymetric training etc) should make the nerves "distance" that they have to shout a lot shorter. Right? Therefore making them less likely not to "hear" us? I hope this prof eventually d...

Curious about date of posts...

I'm wondering if there is a reason that the posts for Avonex seem to be quite old compared to some of the other drugs? I am also curious if people here check in every day, every week, every month... or what the normal "posting time" is. Hope you are all well!!
