Well, they said that 6 weeks after IVIG-treatment, all IVIG should have been out of my body. So if any ongoing auto-immune processes would still be active, the auto-immune reaction would be back destroying my platelets. Which they think is not the case, as my numbers where increasing instead of drop...

Another one with ITP
Just another anecdote: 2/2007: First (and only) MS-exacerbation, started with Rebif 3/2008: First round of Campath (high dose; off-label) 5/2009-1/2010: Pregnancy (we had some little troubles to conceive), delivered a perfectly healthy baby 3/2010: Second round of Campath (high dose; off-label) 7/20...

I've traced down and read all of the articles about the biological aspects of campath myself. I have also several medical doctors in my close surroundings, who I discussed my plans with extensively (some of them read a few articles for me too, so we had the same info to discuss). I personally think ...

Hi, I'm typing with one hand now, holding my 2-month old sleeping baby in the other :D I have decided to get Campath off-label because I wanted to have kids during the study time. I got my first round of Campath in 2008, conceived 13 months later (after blood was more-or-less ok, but did not conceiv...

I'm really undecided.... don't know what to do: - First (and only) flare-up which led to MS-diagnosis occured 2 days after a booster-immunization with Havrix (hep. A), I didn't have any reactions to Twinrix, Engerix or other immunizations in the past. - Got on Rebif for a year, and then Campath high...

Thanks, bromley! And yes, I will listen to my neuro. Just wanted to be prepared when discussing the subject (like most of us on this forum). I’m glad to hear that women have conceived after having been given Campath. I knew that in theory it does not affect the female reproductive system (in contras...

Second round of Campath and having a baby
Does anyone know the rationale behind the studies administering a second (or third/fourth) round of Campath? Or could anyone formulate a hypothesis? Why would HiCy be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and Campath not? Aren’t they both “rebooting” the adaptive immune system (killing all lymphocytes)? And d...

Thank you very much for that list, Sarah. It's a tremendous help to me, really. Another little question: importing those supplements to Europe, from what amount (how many months supply) is it worth the hassle with shipping costs and customs clearance? 3 months, 6 months? I can imagine customs are pr...

How do you take your supplements?
I am looking at the supplement list at David Wheldon’s site, all of them I’ve encountered on this forum too. So I seriously started to consider taking (some of) them, doing some calculations along the road. So the daily (essential) supplements are: - N-acetyl cysteine 600mg twice daily: 2 pills - Vi...

Thanks a lot both of you! So Anecdote, when taking vit D, NAC and Rebif, that should cover the antiviral component adequately I understand. But primarily preventing CPn with antibiotics, so it can’t do its damage, bringing the viruses along. Is that right? And CureOrBust, I know it’s all a matter of...

Should I add an antiviral?
Hello! I'm a young woman living in Europe (English is my third language). I developed mild double vision in mid-February 2007, two days after a hepatitis A vaccination, which led to a neurology consult, spinal tap (positive) and CT (negative) on day 4, MRI (multiple T2 lesions) on day 5 and "pr...
