Isn't that strange, Jimmy about the fainting?!? Hmmm... well, guess all that's left for me to do now is to call Springer and see what I can drum up for an exciting life?!?

Okay, jimmylegs....got the numbers- vitamin d was 30. Vitamin B12 was 307- her nurse said neuro likes it to be near 900, but 180-900 was normal. So, still think those figures were okay that you rattled off??! Which, by the way, I will simply have to print off and take with me to the compounding phar...
Hey there! I left a msg for the nurse to call me with the numbers again. I am not surprised the D level was low- I am never in the sun- I am Irish, and don't tan, I BURN!! So, I am as pale as they come. Neuro wants me to do 1000 units of Vitamin D; 500 mcg of B12 and 1000 mg/d of calcium. How do I g...
Hello to Prague! Your English is without error- perfect. Many thanks for your well wishes. Once the initial shock wears off, I think I am going to travel Europe with my family! I told my husband " If this isn't MS, I am going to do moething out of the box for me" My whole life was centered...
I am trying to remember. She said they were both borderline and had an increased risk of developing rickets or osteoporosis. I remeber seeing the number 30- was that the vit d or the b-12? I thought it was the vitamin d. I can't remember, but can call and get the number if you want me to.

Hey Bob- She does want the repeat MRI in 6 months, but when Iasked her did my dr miss this in 1999, she said well, hindsight is 20/20 and your brain MRI showed lesions- old ones but lesions the same, and we cant predict the course of MS, so . My question is why didn't he do a spinal if he was unsure...
Hey! I have always felt asymptomatic- aside from the fatigue, and infrequent right side "tensing up, numbness, etc.." She said that the 3 whole lesions in my brain are old, and small and could be due to anything- a virus, a fall, migraine activity, etc.. Repeat MRI in 6 mos to see what hap...
Hi everyone- just an update. The new neuro at Mayo, in reviewing the 12 vials of blood taken for the myriad of tests she ran, combined with the MRI of brain, spine (thoracic and cervical) and the opthamalogist's tests have concluded that I don't have MS. So, was I misdiagnosed 10 years and countless...
I still personally think it's all a colossal joke. She is going to run all the tests and say" ooh, yeah... you still have MS". So I 'm not getting too excited yet. My mother said " Oh no, now what can it be- can it be worse?!?!" Thanks, mom. Kelli. P.S. I do have a sense of humor...
Hey Dom- I never heard of the new criterion. It is from http://www.msif.org/document.rm?id=311 I even looked at that link and still am shocked, even though it's spelled out quite plainly. Funny thing she asked if I had a good sense of humor. When I laughed and said I did not ( I don't find a lot fun...
Hey all! Um let's see..No disease progression since all this started at age 17. Last MRI in 2004 showed only 3-4 lesions that didn't enhance. She also said that the new criterion for MS DX ( absent the spinal tap- which I never had) is 9 lesions in "hot places". So next week she wants me t...
Hey everyone! Guess what....After 10 years of meds and 17 years of symptoms...countless neuro appt's and blood draws and all the interferon one person can take, my NEW neuro at Mayo clinic IS NOT SURE IF I HAVE MS!!! That's right folks I said UNSURE.....Am I crazy? Go back day after Christmas for 2 ...
I spoke to my actual neuro yesterday, and he said depending on my LFT this week, he wants me to re titrate only to 22mcg. But that I have such a mild form of MS, on my last MRI in 2004 only 2 very small lesions new. And that if anyone looked at my MRI they might doubt his dx!!!!!
