Re: Apology needed from Cheerleader and Cece

I for one vote that no apology is warranted. As if one poorly executed study is the death knell of anything is absurd. I have MS and had the procedure. I never assumed it a cure for MS and it wasn't. But it did improve my quality of life like no MS drug has even come close. Trolls will say it is pla...

Re: Study suggests MS not linked to CCSVI

Garbage in, garbage out. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4321389/ appears to be a review of other studies. As we have batted around many times, many of these "studies" were flawed in some way. I had treatment a few years ago and there is no doubt it has helped. That is not my opinion. It...

Re: A Single Drop of Blood creates MS

I think our big mistake was to present the CCSVI research as a research for a cure, instead of showing it as a research about the etiology. MS attracts a lot of miracle sellers, and only because of that, the whole concept was dismissed without further investigation. Time will put it the theory back...

Re: A Single Drop of Blood creates MS

The writing is on the wall. As always, I'll keep on promoting the story to anyone that will listen. It is tiring though. Its seems so clear that there is something to this and there is ample research that should be getting Neurologists attention. Shouldn't scientific curiosity, at the very least, ge...

Re: A Single Drop of Blood creates MS

I wonder if the issue is a lack of patient interest. I agree there is more than “something” to the vascular system. So much so that I went to San Diego a few years ago and was treated. Since that time, my life has changed drastically for the better. It is the only thing that I have ever done that re...

Re: Multiple Sclerosis drug Tysabri 'reduces MS relapses'

If all of the current drugs are 30+-% effective, are they doing anything at all? Might just be the variability of MS. Seems to be too much of a coincidence for all to have the same effectiveness. I guess all of the drugs could be targeting one aspect of how MS works its magic. My neurologist says th...

I have switched neuro’s in the last couple months. My old one knew about CCSVI and was neither supportive or particularly critical. I have not mentioned it to the new one yet. My next MRI is next month and I am looking forward to what it shows, good or bad, or no change at all.

Would placebo result in the "relief of night time spasms"? Does placebo work while you are asleep? That is one of the improvements I have experienced. That said, I didn't know it until my wife told me that the spasms were much better while I was asleep. Certainly, “I feel better” or “I am less tired...

I received a blood thinner through the IV but nothing since. Try to remember to take an aspirin in the morning. Not all that good about remembering. Give it some time. What took years to develop make take time to heal.

If that virus is in play, what says it does not cause it in monkeys as well? Assumptions galore and there is that saying.

Time will tell I guess. If it is more like MS, then a better model it may be. Would be great if someone could perform and MRV using the Haacke protocol to see if there is stenosis etc. Heck, do monkeys even have jugular veins? Do they collapse when upright? So many questions.

Monkeys with MS

Maybe the model we have been waiting for: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/06/110628163321.htm ScienceDaily (June 28, 2011) — Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University have discovered a naturally occurring disease in monkeys that is very much like multiple sclerosis in humans -- a d...

I had the procedure at the beginning of June. I had 30%-40% in both jugs and 30% in the azygos(sp?) as well. I do not feel particularly different but have noticed changes. My twitching while sleeping is gone according to my better half. I’ll have to take her word since I am sleeping. I think I can f...
