What changes will we see for MS with new president?

Any one else expect we will see some changes as far as research and funding? Especially since I've heard Obama's father-in-law has MS.

Miss Feisty - I am trying to figure out "am I doing the right thing" for my daughter who was just diagnosed. It so hard when someone else's health is in your hands. I have nightmares about it. She is miserable on the rebif. I can't even get her out of bed in the mornings after her injectio...

Minocycline

My daughter's neuro has mentioned starting her on minocycline. She is currently taking Rebif 44mcg. I see this is fairly experimental. Does any one have any experiences with this treatment course?

Doctors

All the docs I have mentioned this to have brushed my suspicions off with a laugh, but I know deep down that this had something to do with her medical problems. I guess you could call it a mother's instinct, it is just what I know to be a fact regardless of what they say.

Spinal Tap Results

Her spinal tap results for mycoplasma pneumoniae "suggest recent infection..." with a 1.6 where a normal range is <=.90. The neurologist also said she tested positive for EBV but the actual report from the Mayo Clinic is very confusing. This is how it reads: EBV EA-D IgG NEG [NEG] EBV EA-D...

Looking for a book about MS for a newly diagnosed 15 yr. old

She wants some interesting books to learn more about her MS. Maybe something written by a teen or written specifically for teens. She was not interested in Nancy Davis or Teri Garr books that I got. Anyone know any others?

Gardasil (HPV vaccine) can lead to MS

I suspect that my daughter's inoculation with the HPV vaccine has caused her, a previously healthy, active 15 year old, to develop MS (at first thought to be ADEM). Any thoughts?

Mother of newly diagnosed 15 yr. old

Hi! I am the mother of a beautiful 15 year old girl that has been through alot in just the last couple of months (it feels like it's been years). To make a long story short, the doctors have not officially diagnosed her yet, but they say "all the signs are pointing in the direction of MS"....

SOmeone asked me why she was supplementing with CoQ10 and that it could effect her liver (?) She is ...
