Assistance/Tax Deductions for Air Conditioning?

Hi All! Just wondering if there are any tax breaks or organizations that offer financial assistance towards the purchase/installation of central air? Like many with MS the heat just torments my hubby so we have multiple window units running all the time and would like to simplify by getting central ...

New Job-ADA

Can a person be denied employment for disclosing their MS in a required medical exam after accepting a job offer? Its my understanding that under the ADA a person can't be turned away once disclosing something like MS because any judgments have to made on their current condition...not what could hap...

Hello All... My partner was diagnosed with MS at the begining of this year and has since had 3-three day infusions of methylprednisolone (solumedrol). In any event after the first set of infusions he began to have what he thought was another symptom, burning/painful sensations on his right side-prim...

JL~ Brian has had three 3 day treatments of methylprednisolone since February. One was for optic nueritis, and the most recent two were for the pain/burning in his leg/right side (which, I should add, didn't start until after the first methylprednisone treatment). I wonder if that first round of iv ...

Its only been about 5 days of Vit B-100 complex so I'm not sure if its mind over matter or not, but Brian randomly mentioned that yesterday the burning/pain in his right leg wasn't as noticeable as it usually is...he said normally when he's sitting for a while its all he can think about for a couple...

Thanks everybody!!! Brian started on Copaxone in February and hasn't had any real issues with it. He was almost instantly OK with the shots and aside from the sting and a little redness has no real complaints...thank god. I've heard horror stories. I guess what happened recently is that things have ...

I Feel Stupid!!!

I consider myself to be fairly bright, did ok on the SATS, did well in college and so on... When Brian was diagnosed with MS this year I became the "researcher". I've looked into everything. Investigated all the treatment options, looked into new diets, asked for help in determining good v...

Wow...I don't understand every single detail in this thread, but I sure do feel a lot smarter from having read it!

The vascular theories seem to make a lot of sense. That also stresses the importance of not smoking.

Thanks Jimmy! I've also noticed that many people take magnesium...what are the benefits of that and is it something that could also help with the burning/painful leg?

Hey tt89, I don't really have an answer to your question, more of a comment to one thing you mentioned... When my partner Brian was first diagnosed (around the same time as you) everyone kept telling him(us) that things could be a lot worse. For a little bit of time that kept us feeling ok about thi...

Relief for Burning Leg?

Hi All~ I've been posting here a bit over the last few weeks. My partner was diagnosed with MS back in February and he is currently on (and doing well with) Copaxone. In any event, the one constant symptom he has is a burning/painful right leg. He doesn't want to go on any prescription meds for it a...

Keep in mind what another poster said...its takes between 6-9 months for Copaxone to fully take effect. My husband was diagnosed in February of this year and has been on Copaxone ever since. He initially had tingling and numbness in his legs and the week after dx he developed optic nueritis. He's do...
