The last doc I saw said the same as the others...no smoking. He said I can learn how to cook on utube. Basically, butter is made a...

Re: medical marijuana and ms

My doctors say don't smoke but then a study came out this month that said smoking wouldn't hurt you. A lot of patients use vaporizers or make a tincture to put under the tongue. Some make butter and then cook with it. There are all kinds of books on the market now and stuff on u-tube to teach people...

Re: copaxone 2 times a week

All I can say is you really should watch the DVD by Michael Moore called SICKO.
This is the American health system and it SUCKS.
Sometimes we joke about moving to canada. I wonder what Australia would be like?

copaxone 2 times a week

OK so I just bought a 30 day supply of copaxone for 1,300.00. I also found this study online. I can't afford copaxone everyday so I am doing the best I can and this study makes me feel like I'm not so far out there. This month's edition of High Times magazine is dedicated completely to medical marijuana. There is an interview with Montel Williams and his use of cannabis with ms. There is interesting research in this edition discussing the different strains for different ailments, the different chemical composit...

copaxone and medicare

Does anyone know why shared solutions will not give assistance to people on medicare or medicaid? Is it a law? My copay part d medicare is 1300.00 a month. Shared solutions won't even return my calls. If you check their ad, they are clear that anyone on a govt health plan will not get help. WHy? Why...

medical marijuana and ms

The people at NORML sent me this stuff a while ago. Just though I'd share Sativex (THC/CBD natural extract) is now legally regulated to treat symptoms of MS in Canada and parts of Europe based on the results of these and other clinical trials. Most impressive are the results of long-term trials indi...

Ok so I've been having what I call "arm attacks" every night since january. Not sure, maybe bulging disk, maybe shoulder problem, maybe just all screwed up. So the current attempt to fix this excruciating painful event has been to take lyrica. It worked at first, now nothing. Big problem i...

Hi,
I got the link from "this is ms" originally but I will look for it again.
BTW, Teva is now running their own 3 times a week study but they have increased the dosage to 40 (instead of 20). that makes sense for keeping the price up.
I'll look up the links...very unorganized these days.

thanks for all the info especially about prices. I will probably stop taking the copaxone or maybe only take it a few times a week. There was a study presented at the annual neurological society gathering last year that compared copaxone taken twice a week with copaxone daily. the patients in the st...

copaxone lawsuit

OK, so copaxone is suing two pharmaceuticals to keep them from developing a generic copaxone. The trial is set for Sept 7 in New York. I live in Oregon but I'm wondering about a protest, picket line in front of the courthouse if the case actually goes forward. In my experience as an attorney these t...

I heard the ms center at providence hospital in oregon is running a study on this. Anyone heard?
I also understand that this drug has been used before in treatment for ra but in a much different dosage. It looks really interesting to me.
Was wondering if anyone was using it off label?
