Cat, Side note: When people see me all gimpy with my cane, they usually ask, "what did you do to yourself?" This REALLY bothers me. I know that it's hard for people to digest that I'm 29 and handicapped, but why do they always have to assume that I did this to myself? It just pisses me off...

Depression can arise from many sources, in my case many. My upbringing was difficult- both my parents were alcoholics, I was molested, and I had to care for my dying mother and younger brother while I was in high school. Long before MS, I had plenty of reasons to be depressed (please spare me from t...

If it has been at least 24 hours, and you don't have a fever or any other signs of infection it could be a relapse even if it's a reappearance of old symptoms. I usually find myself sleeping around the clock, and unable to get out of bed before a relapse. My symptoms usually build insidiously after ...

Is the fact that your symptoms don't present in tight acute episodes the main factor for your N viewing the behavior as atypical? Hope you're doing well after the spine surgery -- that would complicate things -- sounds painful. Donna, I think the "atypical" part is that my relapse/s don't...

Hi him! What you're describing sounds like MS fatigue to me. I get the same feeling when I've been on my feet too long or have walked too much. Asking your PCP to test your vit/min levels is a good place to start. He/she can tell you what you need to start supplementing based on your results. Streng...
