Hello there, I don't understand my doppler test report, and the images look like jibberish! I have some specific questions, however, I don't really understand much about the report at all. Specifically, does a 2/5 ccsvi criteria rating indicate that the blockages are minor? How is it possible that m...

Please help me understand my doppler results

I paid for this test, and I have a copy of the doppler images and the test report, but I do not understand what it means. Can someone help me, or direct me to information that explains these reports. Specifically, does a 2/5 ccsvi criteria rating indicate that the blockages are minor? How is it poss...

Who do I have to **** to get tested for CCSVI in Canada?

Seriously folks, this is ridiculous! I work full time with wonderful benefits (paying over 30k/year for my MS drugs). However, I cannot get tested for CCSVI. I am on 3 waitlists (over 1 year in length). Some clinics have stopped their testing. Some are covered by OHIP, and others are not. I have bee...

Avonex Autoinjector video

For anyone who would like to see the Avonex autoinjector in action, here is a link to an Avonex Injection Video.

I personally use the autoinjector every week. Its easier to push a button than to jab a needle in your thigh :)

Thanks for your help everyone!

I've been on Avonex for over 2 months now, and things are going great. I self-inject about 3 hours before bed time. I have some fatigue the next morning (probably due to lower quality sleep).

thanks for your response.

I am seeing my neurologist in a few weeks and I am going to ask about it. In the meantime, I'm trying to educate myself so I know what I am talking about and so I can ask intelligent questions :)

What tests should I ask my doctor for?

I want to check if I have CCSVI. What tests do I need to ask my doctor for?

I have had full spine/brain MRIs with the contrast injection. Would these MRIs show vein abnormalities?

Injection Locations

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the acceptable locations for the avonex injection? i.e. a picture of someones thigh with a shaded area, for example. I want to make sure I am 'rotating' sites, but I'm nervous about choosing a location that is not appropriate. Also, in what location is ...

I use the 25G 1" needle. I am average build (5"4 135lbs). I sure hope the medicine is getting into the muscle!!! I have only been on Avonex for 3 weeks. I think I may try the auto-injector tomorrow... so far I have been doing it manually, and I seem to jab the needle in too far/hard (to th...
