Thank you!
I'm going to train it through Canada, then drive down the west coast of America, over to Hawaii, then to NZ, Australia, South Africa and home! Maybe... I'm open to getting waylaid!

Hi I've updated my tracking thread, but thought I'd give a bit more detail here. I joined the gym a couple of weeks ago and after 2 weeks of Pilates and gym, I feel fantastic! Fatigue is a thing of the past, my walking is stronger and quicker. Coordination is still an issue, I tend to trip over my o...

Thanks for all your kind wishes! Now I've something exciting to report, just over 3 weeks post-procedure: Yesterday I reached the point where I can say, yes I'm definitely better than I was! I met some friends and walked quicker than some of them for half a mile (we were late!), and they commented, ...

Back from Poland!

Hi All I've updated the tracking thread with everything, but I've been asked how things are going so thought I'd post my progress here. I had balloon angioplasty on my right jugular vein to clear a membrane and open up a mild stenosis, on the 21st Jan in Poland. Since then I feel warm! My feet are n...

The doppler ultrasound was the first test I had. I'd e-mail Dr. Simka and that's what he suggested. The costs so far have been flights and hotel. I haven't paid for the medical treatment yet, I guess that will be at the end, and I don't know how much that's going to be... Sorry if that's not much he...

A membrane patient too, kinda reassuring to know I'm not the only one! And great news that you're starting to feel better, here's hoping you go all the way!

Membranes on doppler ultrasound

Hello from Poland! I had my Doppler ultrasound yesterday, the hands of Dr. Simka, and came away a very happy bunny indeed! Leading up to it I was absolutely terrified that he wouldn't find anything, and so relieved when he did I didn't ask half the questions I should have! What he found was not sten...

I'm just having a doppler ultrasound initially, so I guess that's why I'm going to the Rolna Euromedic. Thanks for clarifying Erika.

Depending on results then we'll look at next steps. Fingers crossed for a nice obvious, easily treatable stenosis!

I've just confirmed my appointment with Dr. Simka (10am on the 1st December) and he as advised the hospital address was

Euromedic, Katowice ul. Rolna 18

Which is about 2 or 3 km south of Franz Josef Hotel.

Just thought I'd let you know as it was a surprise to me.

Good luck everyone!
