Yes, herniated disc at L4/L5, but long before the diagnosis. Backache on and off for many years. Low back pain is a common ailment in the general public. I am grateful for the open discussion and sharing of information and experiences on this site. I think great strides have been made in the last year. For 13 years I have resisted DMDs and have yet to make a decision about the procedure. I guess if I had more disability and symptoms I wouldn't hesita...

I forgot to mention that there is also a difference in skin colour of the weaker left arm and leg compared to the right. I thought this had to do with circulation but who knows?

Living life as if there is a Damocles sword over your head. Fear that you have passed this on to your children. Feeling betrayed by your body. Having to concentrate on each step otherwise you trip over your own feet. Even on a good day knowing you are still on that rollercoaster ride of uncertainty.
