Poland - Address and Doc?
Hello All! Shiraz here, in Barrie, Ontario. I had my doppler ultrasound. I have a Venous Anomoly in my left jugglar. Woo-hoo, don't we all have something? I am scheduled for a Venography on March 10 but I was told I didn't even need that. I have heard that Poland is the only place doing the procedur...

Re: Avis Favaro
Shiraz, Have you had contact with Avis Favaro of CTV regarding the February meeting for CCSVI in Hamilton? How did you make out with your testing in Barrie? We are all hoping that somewhere in Ontario the testing is proving to be reliable .... then comes the procedure. Good luck! Bobbi Hi Bobbi I w...

Zamboni and Simka to be in Canada On another thread (CCSVI Education Program at USF in Tampa, FL 2/18/10), GinR quotes: Research into Blood Flow in the Brain and Venous Insufficiency, or CCSVI, in MS is a new and potentially interesting area in MS research. Dr. Krolczyk will be traveling to Canada ...

Re: Thanks
Hi again Ted I offered my story details to her, and told her I would be willing to be the "Canadian woman" in her sequel. She is very up to date and well researched on what is happening with the CCSVI research. S That sounds great, then, Sheri... so I assume that Avis would be sending som...

Dear Shiraz, That is great news! Thank you - I am so grateful that you have shared your experience in Barrie. Would you mind my asking where you received the doppler ultrasound? Perhaps my GP can write a requistion (in Toronto) to have it done at the clinic that you went to. I am seeing my neurolog...

Re: Thanks
What I'd like to do is get the local or national media to do a follow-up on it. I understood that one or more of the people on this forum had contacts with the CTV people who did the original W5 story. It seems to me that CTV (or others) should want to add something to the story, and Barrie Vascula...

Re: I understand
Hi Shiraz, I understand what you are saying and wasn't implying that you should have gotten more information at the time (I probably wouldn't thought of it myself if I was in your shoes). But perhaps you can give me a contact name (by PM if you prefer) of someone in the department (or the name of t...

hi shiraz, Where in California you're going to go? And for what? i live in California and other than Dr. Dake who isn't doing anything for the time being, I see no interest from medical community. Even if you want an ultrasound here and are willing to pay, you can't without a prescription, I was to...

Re: Please Please Please - Need quoted numbers
Hi Shiraz, I'm happy for you and to hear what is happening in Barrie, but I think that it is REALLY important to get some quoted statistics from the radiology department regarding how many MS patients they have tested for CCSVI and how many have been found with it. "Up until January 3rd, 2010,...

Hi Shiraz your ultrasound technologist sounds remarkable. Lucky you! Most of us have tried in vain throughout our country. Many questions, one is the cat scan, but you're further than 99% of us so if we have to run circles to be liberated what the heck/ Esta, hang in there. We will all help each ot...

Keep up the 'fight'! Shiraz, was this just a 'regular' ultrasound machine they used? I thought Dr. Zamboni had a specific one made just to scan for this. Good luck!! Hi Annad. The lady (Angela) who did my ultrasound assured me that she was trained and up to speed. I even brought the protocol with m...

Greetings All! I wanted to keep you posted about what is going on in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Everyone in my MS circle has pretty well given up on their neurologists. They (the neuros) will say and do nothing. I have an appointment at the MS Clinic in Toronto in February and I will keep it but I exp...
