I (apparently) have a thyroid problem as well. I have MS - first symptoms in November 2008 - and just this past week I found out during an ultrasound to check for a stenosis, that I have a growth on my thyroid. I now have to have it biopsied. This is a little different than the thyroid problems ment...

As far as my official results from my ultrasound - I am waiting to meet with my Doctor next Friday. I am currently only taking what I heard the technician and doctors talking about amongst each other as they performed the test on me. I'm not sure if they were referring to the internal or external ju...

Of the 250 patients who entered the extension study, 173 (69%) continued to month 36. What happened to the rest 77? Did they quit because they found the drug not effective for them? If so, the results are not reliable. sou(r) Hi Sou, that's definitely a good question - why did they quit the trial? ...

Thanks again for the great info Jimmylegs! I'll definitely look into that. I have been skeptical of zinc as it is an immune booster and I have been told to steer clear of anything that will boost my immune system. I will check out some of your other links on the forum regarding zinc, as I'm sure tha...

Also, in response to the question of the stenosed jugular. Yesterday I had a doppler ultrasound which showed a stenosis on my jugular. They did the ultrasound first with me lying down, completely horizontal, and then again sitting upright. The stenosis opened up when I was horizontal (and was not vi...

I haven't tried the inclined bed therapy myself. However, I believe that if people feel better by doing it, and notice marked improvements in their condition, why not try it? Why not spread the word? Andrew, I would say that your open-mindedness and advanced knowledge of the various impacts it has o...

Thanks Jimmylegs. I checked it out. It is definitely interesting. Fortunately though, I haven't experienced any depression. Which is why I really don't think that my chronic nightmares are mood related. I have found some interesting info on Gaba - a neurotransmitter that can be taken in supplement f...

Hey Kathryn! Glad our responses helped a bit!!! I also just wanted to note that they are making leaps and bounds with research / treatment for ON patients who don't regain their vision on their own. Both me and my Father have MS. So, it's probably pretty fair to say that I was predisposed to it. I showed my first symptoms just over a year ago - Optic Neuritis. Is it a coincidence that it happened just a few weeks after getting the flu shot? I guess I'll never know for sure. But, immunizations t...

Hey Kathryn Just over one year ago, I was diagnosed with ON in my left eye. I had almost 100% vision loss within a couple of days. They originally told me that my vision would be back to normal in a couple of months. But it wasn't. Then they said that it could take up to a year and whatever vision I...

Hey Andrew - thanks for the youtube video! That's the first I've heard of inclined therapy. I'll definitely do some more research. I checked out a couple threads on it in this forum and there's definitely people who seem to be benefitting from it. I have nerve damage (and pain) in my neck. I think t...

Thanks everyone for your insight!!!! It's good to know I'm not crazy! I'm really just starting to learn about vitamins and supplements. However, I also don't want to end up taking a million pills a day. I'm trying to eat mostly fruits and vegetables. I take Vitamin D, acidophilus, and fish oil every...
