Is the CCSVI surgery still being performed in the world ? Or do they call this procedure something else now?

My Neurologist recently suggested that I try 1200 mg. of Alpha Lipoic Acid per day for nerve pain.
Has anybody tried this?
After 14 yrs. living with MS I doubt I will ever find relief but I keep trying.
Its been a long time since I have posted on here and I think I have missed much.

Does anybody have an idea as to what might be a `safe` dosage to at least start taking Benfotiamine on ?

Has anybody tried these pills for neuropathy treatment? Has it been beneficial or not ? It seems as these pills are different vitamin B forms `ramped up` and into one pill. Does anybody think that this might be harmful for MS patients to take due to the fact that it might be a immune enhancer? :roll:

Has anybody tried Rosiglitazone (diabetes drug) for the treatment of nerve pain? It blocks the PPAR-gamma. Whatever that means.

My MS Hug has been going on for about 4 years. It stretches all the way around the top of my ribs in a circle to my back. It is like wearing a belt and constantly tightining it.
