I was tested and treated for CCSVI by Dr. Sclafani at AAC in Brooklyn, in November. Myself and two attendants rented an accessible van and drove to Brooklyn. The drive to and within Brooklyn was much more harrowing than the procedure itself! I stayed at the Best Western Gregory Hotel on 4th Ave beca...

Hi Dr. Sclafani, I will only write about my personal experience with these terms. MS hugs-I'm pretty sure people are talking about this tight feeling on some part of your body. It's as if you are wearing a girdle or a blood pressure cuff pumped up. I had this for years around my abdomen. It was neve...

Hi Dr. Sclafani, I too have considered calling a lawyer as my purple feet have almost completely disappeared!! About 80%! I have also lost the icy cold in my legs and feet! Just when I thought my improvements had peaked or plateaued, I accidentally discovered yesterday that I could move my left hand...

I personally, don't believe we Canadians should be getting stents out of the country. I think it is too risky with the lack of follow-up. Look at how far we have come in one year! The issue of stents will probably be much clearer in another year. Whether or not the radiologists doing your procedure,...

Wheelchair accessible Van rentals in Ontario!

I found this accessible van rental company online. They are located in Selkirk Ontario. I rented a van once to get my Doppler ultrasound in Barrie. The van was great and the service excellent. I plan to rent one of the vans to go to New York state for my treatment. I highly recommend that you check ...

Sofia, Have you reported these symptoms to your family doctor? My experience is that most physicians will respond to abnormal or unusual heart symptoms regardless of your diagnosis. Once I took myself to the emergency room for rapid heart rate and they immediately did blood work and a cardiogram and...

I had my ultrasound done in March, in Barrie. They do not do transcranial Doppler. My scan was positive for CCSVI. I was told that if I had a positive scan I would be eligible for treatment when Dr. McDonald receives approval to do the angioplasty. They ultrasound technician's name is Angela and she...

Ceci,
Maybe you feel like a baby because you were defenseless!
I find your story disturbing and I feel really bad for you. I'm glad your friend was with you. You have every right to be upset! I hope you at least have some benefit from the procedure. Take care. Lisa

Hello Fraser,
I have not had angioplasty but within three weeks of IBT most of my headaches were gone. No more headaches when waking up and sleeping much more soundly. Try it!
