I seem to recall seeing some images of a brain with Parkinson's disease with a vein connection.
But I can't seem to find the study so was hoping someone might recall it?
For a friend.

Got a call from my neurosurgeon's office about the procedure; it's scheduled for 29 February.
Leap Day; hope it's a lucky day for me.

Re: How are the stents holding up?
Some great news! A neurosurgeon who has done some vital procedures on me before, has agreed to do a procedure on the left internal jugular vein stenosis. It's going to be difficult because where the stenosis is located; at the skull base. "If I can open it up, and IF I can put a stent in, I wil...

Re: How are the stents holding up?
My stent in the right internal jugular vein implanted July 2015 is widely patent. Just had an ultrasound and the blood is draining nicely. The left side is still untreated; ran into medical dogma stating "you only need one vein open" to survive. Meanwhile my symptoms are getting worse. Don...

Re: Wheelchair Study (satire)
Dr. Nero Oligist announced a major neurological finding, after reviewing fifty year old abstracts. "Wheelchairs only need one wheel to be effective, and insisting that both wheels be functional is misplaced," stated Dr. Nero Oligist. Followups tests were done with the world infamous NAKAJI...

Right now, I am very sleepy. The trip has drained me physically and it was an emotional roller coaster ride. Will answer your questions later.
I have an appointment with Dr. Nero O.

I misspelled the doctor's name. It is Nakaji.

Donnchadh: Update report; so close, yet so far.
I am posting this from Phoenix AZ because I had an appointment with Dr. Nakaji at the Barrow Neurological Institute. They require all your reports and test images to be sent to them before scheduling an office visit, with a review charge of $100 upright. Not covered by insurance. After waiting about...

Re: CCSVI Treatment for Primary Progressive MS?
Thank you Vesta and congratulations to Donnchadh (beautiful ancient Keltic name?). In my case the jugular veins showed severe malformations. The veins are substituted by veins taken from my leg. And two useless muscles that were blocking the flow were cut (I do not miss anything). Om the right side...

Re: CCSVI Treatment for Primary Progressive MS?
An update. The throat surgeon who assisted with the two earlier procedures to remove the bone spurs has agreed to assist with the vein graft but he needs a neurosurgeon to do the difficult part dealing with the sigmoid sinus. I have an appointment 19 February with a neurosurgeon to "pitch the i...

What would be typical external vein issues? External vein issues include entrapment of the jugular vein by the omohyoid muscle http://www.hindawi.com/journals/cris/2012/293568/ http://phl.sagepub.com/content/29/9/632.abstract or inpingement by the atlas or styloid process http://www.pubfacts.com/de...

Re: CCSVI Treatment for Primary Progressive MS?
I have been diagnosed as Primary Progressive MS by a neurologist. I started seeking CCSVI treatments in 2010 when it was considered an "underground" procedure because there was a lack of convincing case studies. In retrospect, I now know that there were EIGHT different things wrong with my...

Re: New research- UV rays, nitric oxide and MS symptom relie
Interesting. Yesterday I had to wait outside for about a half hour for my Postmaster to arrive. Here in northern Illinois, it was the first day over 70 degrees and sunny. Usually, I rarely go outside. Today, my symptoms were a little bit better and I couldn't figure out why. It might have been due t...
