Re: MS Society - Conflict of Interest?

How can their opinions about CCSVI be taken seriously now? I couldn't have said it better myself. :) I'm willing to bet that the 4% that is contributed by the pharmaceutical companies is also a big part of that 65% raised at special events. I believe some events are co-sponsored by drug companies. ...

Ignore this post

I just read the posts from Tuesday on. Sorry Dr. S. - I'm bummed (pronounced pissed). I was 2 weeks away from treatment when you were shut down. I already paid over $1000 for the hotel. It wasn't an issue that it was non-refundable. It was inexpensive and very close to the hospital. After all, I had...

ROTFLMAO

This is why most doctors hate it when patients look up scary stuff on the Internet, right? They seem to also hate it when we join message boards and fly off to Poland for (minimally invasive percutaneous etc) experimental surgical procedures. ROTFLMAO They don't have a problem with us taking our US...

Your army is assembling Dr. S - or should I say General S.

I expect you'll have well over 100 people willing to participate before the weekend is over, probably much more.

These early genetic markers may now be used to test for MS up to nine years before healthy young adults start developing symptoms. And because MS is thought to have a genetic component and a tendency to be found in siblings, Achiron foresees that the biomarkers will be used as a tool for brothers a...

Re: I decided in December to have stents put in.

larry where is the proof of that. I'm just guessing but from the hundreds of anecdotal posts I've read the restenosis didn't occur when stents were used. Seems like common sense to me to go with what works not what works mostly. anecdotes do not count let them publish, ie let them have their work o...

My procedure is scheduled for August 25th. I was to be treated by Dr. S. on May 11th, 3 weeks after he was shut down. I prepaid for the hotel and it is not refundable - so I'm out over $1000. Even adding that in, it's still much cheaper to go to Poland. I'm going to save upwards of $10K. $5K is prob...

I'm just trying to think outside the box. Any thoughts or comments would be welcome. Quite right, Larmo. Not to be morbid but maybe more post-mortem stuff is appllicable. The police use great tools, and for this they might use an ALS. Because human eyes don't see some other wavelengths too. dlb, th...

Interesting

I was watching the live feeds from the ROV's working on the oil spill. Whenever the picture was obscured (with oil flow, etc.) they would switch to another format to get a better picture. I think they tried the red, green & blue filters along with infrared. I see weapon/troop testing where they ...
