:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D So, my wife has just had her check up and everything is fine.....better than fine, here veins have not only stayed open, but have opened a little further. The staff are really pleased for her and so are we. It was very emotional to finally draw a line under the underlying cau...

Mrs Robob was done in June this year. We go back in two weeks for the check up. She has improved significantly since it was originally done (ballooning) although we are prepared to go through the whole thing again if necessary. Remember, this is real, this is a real condition and it can be treated. ...

Hi, animal and kar. The shop is very basic, only stuff like toothpaste, razors, pajamas, towels etc. You may wish to venture out for souvenirs, there is not much around the hospital though. The restaurant was pretty good, there is a cafe bit at one end, the other being for more substantial meals. Al...

Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay, we lost internet access at the hospital for the last 18 hours. the second scan went well, there was no need for further treatment. We have to come back in 6 months for another doppler although I think this to be just a formality. Mrs Robob has been given the all cl...

Good morning, all. Thanks to Taps, Ales, Bill and Terry, and to Papa for your kind words and thoughts. So, it was a reasonable night. Mrs Robob was a little uncomfortable following the procedure. They place a weight against your groin where the entry point was. This is probably to prevent bleeding. ...

1.5 hours and my wife returned. The treatment was 100% success. an additional vein was found to be blocked, both were cleared, no stents.

She is very tired and groggy (but hungry!).

The staff have been amazingly good, the food they gave us was excellent.

I'll update again tomorrow.

Robob.

We arrived Sofia Saturday and are here until next Saturday. Arrived at the hospital this morning. My wife had her...

Hey RoxanneLo Welcome to the forum. As a new member myself I am not best placed to help answer your question but thought I would say hi anyway. Of note to everyone. I spoke with my Chiro the other day. If anyone needs MRI scans, there is a private place in Cheltenham that will do them for around 200...

Now looking at this:

http://en.geyatours.com/02/403-42-30/index.html

Lots to do as you say. I'm really pleased that we are starting to get our dates through. Good luck everyone.

Thanks Vhoenecke and livabird for your kind comments. We too will be paying cash and should have enough to cover any eventualities. We've heard so much about new treatments, but also the horrid 'goat serum' scam that happened last year so were quite sceptical about this one. The recent news about th...
