Hi all, Thanks for the comments. I think that exist a lot of interest topics to continue thinking. Now I was thinking that if the mitochondria of oligodendrocytes are affected, probably the CCSVI treatment + mitochondria treatments could help us more. I just to find this website: http://www.umdf.org...

Mitochondria of Oligodendrocytes: CCSVI (hypoxia)+factor=MS

Hi, I think that the problem may be in the mitochondria of oligodendrocytes. These organules in these cells are responsable of myelinization of neurons and important in the beta-oxidation of lipids. Myelin is 70% lipids!!!! One important sustrate for the mitochondria is the oxigen. In case of hypoxi...

Twins and CCSVI

What happen in identical twins diagnosed both or only one with MS?? They have also the same venous malformations?? In the same localizations??? or not?? I think that should be interest to analyse this type of people with the goal to understand better if it is a congetinal problem. What do you think?...

I think that the thyroid cysts may be developed due to collateral circulation explained by Zamboni in his paper:

Yes 38% is only for CIS.

But if we consider that since only about half of those diagnosed as CIS go on to full blown MS, for that 38% is closer to 80% or not???

Myelin lipids and CCSVI

According to Buffalo study, based on the reporting of 38% for CIS vs about 80% for MS with more advanced symptoms, for me meaning that the prevalence of CCSVI increase with the time course of the disease. We know that the composition of the myelin is 80% lipids. I was thinking that could be that the...
