Thanks for your responses. I say it didn't work b/c none of my symptoms have been alleviated. I had some luck first time around but that's it. I heard it takes time but to have nothing at this point. I think it all points at nothing happening. I just have to come to terms with it...
Thanks again

So, no improvements. This sucks. Just thought I would update that this procedure has not worked for me despite three tries. It's good to know about this though, god forbid, my daughter gets MS. At least she might have a chance to avoid this hell.

did you get a stent put in? if so, where? did that mean the problem was not in your valves?

no stents. i guess he thinks they can be detrimental because they cause the vein to react with some type of tissue regrowth which makes the vein even narrower

Javabean, are you on any medications since this third procedure? Maybe something to keep from having a triple re-stenosis again? I pray this third time does it. Were you told to rest after the procedure or any instructions? Please keep us updated. It is a learning experience for all of us. Also did ...

"After two procedures, your jugulars and your azygous were all blocked again? Did your doctor offer any explanation? This wasn't clotting, was it? Just elastic recoil or missed blockages from the other procedures. You'd already been to Albany and to PI, these are experienced docs, I just wonder...

Last time I update, I promose. So I had the procedure today and both jugulars blocked as well as the azygous. He ballooned to 16mm, less than the doc in California. Took a walk around the block which was pretty much the same...Hopefully, like the first time, I willl have improvements in a few days.

So, I go for my third and hopefully last procedure tomorrow. What is the difference between this and the previous two? Well, the doctorsaid he will use a stent but he cautioned that don't alwayd hold the veins open. He seems to think he can keep the veins open by holding them open longer. I guess we...

Once again I'm faced with the unertainty of this but also feel like what the hell. I have nothing more to lose...

third procedure?

I'm curious if anyone has had a third procedure. I am having someoene look at my scans from the previous two procedures and am therefore thinking about a third. I had good success almost immediately after the first, which went away, and is why I had the second. I just feel like those benefits I saw ...

iliac vein?

I think this topic has been discussed before, but I am wondering if anyone knows the status of treating the iliac vein? It seems that going in on the left was so that the iliac could be seen. The two procedures I have had, both went in on the right. Any thoughts?

Almost Clever,
No improvements as far as I can tell. I did have improvements after the first procedure though, which is weird, in my opinion.

Cece, This is my basic understanding...I had ont procedure done in Albany that was just ballooning (14mm). I had some improvements, then declined and suspected restenosis. I then went to Pacific Interventionalists where they ballooned (22mm) and cleared out the valves in my jugular veins. So if I un...

results?

I imagine people are getting tired of my frantic posts but I can't help it. Sorry... What I would like opinions about is when people start seeing results when it isn't right off the table. This is my second go around with the procedure -- first in Albany and then in CA where they used a larger ballo...
