Blood thinners
As far as I know following Liberation treatment patients are required to take blood thinners. Is this for a fixed period of time or must they be taken permanently?

Why do stenoses occur?
Has anyone seen any theories as to why stenoses occur? Are we born with them? If so, why doesn't MS start at birth rather than in the mid 30's.

Had hayfever all my life but the last few years I've had nasty sinus congestion at times of the year when I never had allergies before. My family doc said it's not related to MS. He also said that if I was taking the MS meds those could cause me to catch colds because they suppress the immune system...

I have had zero relapses and/or remissions in 15 years with MS. I don't take any drugs for MS. In the past I followed the Swank diet although not for the past few years. My EDSS is about 5. I can walk 100 yards without a cane, brace etc. With my orthotic foot brace I can go about 1 mile, slowly. I w...

Diagnosis of PPMS vs RRMS
Does anyone know how neurologists determine what type of MS we have? I was dxed with MS about 15 years ago. The neuro sent me for an MRI which came back positive for MS, (little white spots on the brain). He told me in no uncertain terms that I have MS, although he could not or would not tell me wha...

What are the benefits of Betaseron?
From what I understand Betaseron and similar drugs are touted as reducing the number of relapses. Is that correct or can they slow disease progression as well?
I have never had relapses in my 15 years with MS so I never started taking any of those drugs.

Percentage of people helped by Liberation therapy?
I'm new to this site so please excuse me if this topic has been raised before. It seems that quite a few people here have had the Liberation procedure. Some have improved and some have not. Has anyone tallied up the numbers to see what percentage have experienced improvements?

Hi My name is David. I'm 61. My MS symptoms began in 1994. They were very minor then, just a little numbness in my left thumb. In 1996 I started getting the electric shock sensation running down my spine. I forget what they call that. The DX came at that time. Happily the electric shock sensation we...
