Re: please help CCSVI by voting on my blog
Hello Guys, It's that time of the year again... The Hungarian CCSVI blog (ccsvi.blog.hu) has been entered into the same blog contest. The website is created and maintained on a daily basis by Alex (I think most of you know him from here) who puts in a huge amount of work and dedication to translate ...

Re: check up
bunny82, But even if it's expensive, don't find yourself in worse shape because YOU didn't have a problem checked out. Thanks a lot Rosegirl, you are totally right! However, I don't have any problems, I was just talking about a 6-month check-up. Hopefully I won't have any problems, but if I do, I w...

Agree with everything mentioned here. And just an idea (which might sound strange but I think it worked for me): when I had problems with numbness in my hand I always massaged it with my electric toothbrush. And OK, maybe the numbness would have gone anyway (who can tell?) but I always had the feeli...

Re: Do Not Change
I said 'start thinking about increasing your Tysabri dosage interval', after a full IVUS check. Starting to think comes a long way before doing anything. MarkW Many thanks for your educated thought Mark, this is such a great idea, certainly food for thought... I will check with my neuro when I see ...

8O I didn't know that, that's crazy. To avoid IRIS, it is good to switch directly from Tysabri to an interferon. Perhaps later the interferon could then be discontinued? There is some research supporting this strategy. Guys, this thread is just turning into a very scary one... (None of your f...

My right jugular was also checked and no stenosis was detected. CCSVI testing on the NHS! Hi L, I've just been planning to pm you to ask how that scan went and that's when I saw your post. I'm just incredibly happy for you; you really deserved this! And your theory about hot food seems to be a real...

Re: Doppler Scan CD
I had a six month Doppler scan at Guildford and received a CD of the results. Everyone should remember that doppler/mrv etc are preliminary scans. The gold standard is a catherter venogram and any treatment is performed on results from a catheter venogram. Balloon venoplasty is usually performed du...

Doppler
I'd be pretty uncomfortable for a place to go ahead with treatement on someone elses scan and would kind of assume they'd produced thier own to their own protocols? Thank you to both of you, EJC and Carrie. Well, they prefer MRVs so do not do a Doppler before. But I'm under the impression that a Do...

Doppler at Guildford, Surrey with EHC
I'm planning to book myself an appointment for this scan at their Guildford facility. Those of you who have already been scanned could you possibly tell me please: have you received a CD of your results? Or pictures, or anything? I'm just wondering as I would like to have this test done here locally...

aftercare at PI?
OMG Chilli, you don't seem to be very happy with how things went! I hope you get those improvements (and more) once you recover from jet lag, etc. With regards to aftercare, what exactly did you get? Did you have a follow-up app. the following day and if yes, what exactly did they do? I have the imp...

I'd like some idea as to why things still aren't flowing - could it be the partial thrombosis? At any rate, both the jugular veins are wide now wheras a week ago the were narrow. I want to find out too whether this fold in the azygous vein could be a likely contender for restenosis. Hi L, When I se...
